The National Champion goes directly but then, it goes to the highest placed person in the GPF and that's Wakaba now, as she is the only lady qualified.

 

In other words, if Satoko wins the Nats, she's in, and Wakaba needs to podium and she's in. Poor Mai. Games, games....

 

I am so so happy for Kaori and Satton, too, although Kaori very much deserved gold here... sigh... oh well

Guess who gets in if Zhenya WDs? Yes, you guessed it. Satoko does.

I know competitions are separate with their own judging panels, but I cannot see how that program from Satoko got higher marks than Wakaba's in other comps... but that's a conversation for somewhere else and not on the SA board. Oh well.

You betcha!! That would throw a real wrench into the plan .... however, the judges there would never give it to her because they've see what she's gotten internationally this year and they just won't see fit to reward her  no matter what.. at least, that's what I'm thinking. Feel sorry for Mai because if she hadn't skated so well in her long program at World's, they wouldn't even have 2 spots... but she's probably dumped anyway.

I couldn't resist looking because their TES were too close. Satton should get higher PCS no doubt but I was wondering too much about the TES...
