He was in 'first pancake' condition after all.

Nah. Yuzuru doesn't mess his Axels like that, that was weird.

I hope he doesnt get 2 silver this season tho... i like the theory canada=silver :slinkaway:

We'll have to live and see. But he got two silvers for GP events in 2013, so... there's no pattern.

I don't understand what happed with the axels ... the timing was off off off ... hell ...

I should watch them slow-mo to pinpoint what exactly was the problem, although I think it was mental/thinking that he didn't have strenght/actually not having a lot of strenght.

But... I don't wanna see that disaster again. Painful.

Canadian silver medals are his lucky charm...

I just read ' pancaking too early' :smiley-laughing021:. Well, it is 5 in the morning for me...

This is probably the only situation when too much pancakes is not the best XD

Man, I can't even imagine how you all felt when Yuzu lost at Boston or when he got 5th at World's for the SP. I'm watching him get second at a challenger series and can barely handle it...But NO MATTER! There's still time to improve.

I want 2020 WC gold though

To be perfectly honest, the axel has me a little worried. Since when does Yuzu UR the axel? He needs deep breathing exercises because I don't think there's any physical pain that can make him do that.

monster rearing its head maybe.... affecting it... or just plain off night in Canada. His ss was really off here, no intensity... even the lunge was not as deep as normal...  well, they'll figure it out together. tracy is such a good listener. He was talking a lot to her, which is good.  and think, if he had been really good here... my gosh, the pressure on him to better himself each time would be on again... now he can go up each time, even in small amounts. perfect.

I don't think so. He did a lot of disappointing performances with Seimei. Seimei is a huge character, a huge performance, a huge burden alltogether, not just that one in Boston. I don't think Yuzu's mind was focused on something in particular. When your body doesn't cooperate, sometimes it's just fear that you have to breathe through, live through, fight until it's over and you can let go all of that. If he wasn't in any kind of pain, the mess we saw tonight was all mental, which is sad, but it happens to the best of us. I guess Yuzu would have rathered NOT receive the SP World Record this soon in the season, LOL. He was in 'first pancake' condition after all.

Now I see why Brian kept talking about pancakes and making him peak when needed :dpooh:

Another bright side for me: no need to be superstitious about watching him or not, or having weird rituals, it doesn't change how Yuzu will skate
