I randomly started the video at 4.08, right at the 4A question

Lol Nobu's English might be better than Yuzu's wow

And I like how he is super confident in predicting Yuzu to be the first to land Quad Axel haha (he said it in a way that makes it almost sound not like a prediction but s fact... know/seen something we don't, Nobu?:devilYuzuf:)

Now my train of thought just had its brake totally broken: Nobu is so sure --> Yuzu has landed it --> AND he wants to be the first to land it in competition --> Yuzu stays after the Olympics --> New programs, styles, jumps, records, things we've never seen, more chances to see him, more history in the making:smiley-rpg012::smiley-rpg012::smiley-rpg012:

and his recent talk about how male skaters can stay in their top form well after 25 yrs old just got my hopes up and they refuse to go down oh gosh

Erm... we appreciate it, but I'd appreciate it even more if I could read it..

Lowkey leaving it here so someone can translate. I read it but i am not fit to translate at all, i'm sorry:tumblr_inline_mg16gs7UAn1qdlkyg:

Nobu's english is very good. I hadn't heard him speak it before. He and Yuzu say 'and' or what I think is meant to be 'and' (it comes out like *ann um*) , in exactly the same way.  I am sure he knows about the 4A!!

I liked Ari's questions and Nobu's answers - and yes, his English is so good!

It's nice to hear that Nobu is so confident about who is going to the land the first 4A :winky:

And I'll mark his predictions for next season (not sure if James/Cipres could make the Top 3, I think one of the Russian teams have better chances, but I wish them luck!)

Finally caught up with this thread. What a treat since people thought this show would be locked up like it's in Fort Knox or something. As for the YOI anime, when it comes to someone's style and preference, just because they like one thing doesn't mean they can't like something else. I was obsessed with NANA and Naruto around the same time and they are two totally different anime. I was obsessed with Sailor Moon and Gundam Wing...again two very different anime. That's just to name a few of course. Heck I was just talking with a friend of mine about my dad. He loves video games, watching American football, basketball, etc. But do want to know some of his favorite shows? America's Next Top Model and Sexy and the City make the list  .  And heck, he doesn't really like figure skating, but he actually knows more than you'd think.  He can tell what's good and what's not too.  I remember a competition that I was forcing him to watch with me (yes, I occasionally negotiate bonding time) and several skaters were doing I-spins. Inside I was secretly cringing because most of them do a such a labored job of it and I hate the holding positions. But then Satoko did it and my dad noticed how hers was a lot more effortless looking.  I was quite impressed (though he did have to endure my Sasha obsession back in the day, so maybe he learned something; and my grandma was a huge fan so he probably grew up watching quite a bit of it).  And then Johnny and Tara were explaining issues with her jumps and he could tell what they meant. It's not his fave sport by any means but he does know a thing or two. Anyway, sorry about the :offtopic:  but that was still fresh in my mind, lol.

As for Yuzu. Not much gets past this kid so I wouldn't be surprised if he knows quite a bit about the show.

Am I the only one to see perfect dark blue in Yuzu's costume?

Definitely dark blue.

This is like... wow.

I think about when he was just a young 'un starting out, and look at him now.

Everyone is just happy catching a glimpse of him aren't they? Hope he can feel all the love :10742289:

I found two more news clips of past FaOI in Niigata. Both of these have a glimpse of young Yuzu.

Sorry for being late to reply. Here are the links of FaOI 2015 I have now…

Yuzu’s performances in FaOI 2015 in Makuhari and Shizuoka (Vertigo and Believe)

Hello, I love you in FaOI 2015 in Shizuoka combined with same program performed in Stars on Ice 2013

New clip of FaOI 2015 in Shizuoka 1

New clip of FaOI 2015 in Shizuoka 2

FaOI 2015 in Kobe (ABC version)1  *you can also find 2-4 in this page

As for last summer, as answered in other posts there wasn’t any skater who was highlighted as the headliner, but Stephane was the last skater of the shows. As you can see in the news clips from 2010 and 2011, he has been one of the regular skaters and the stars of this show for long time, and he’s been keeping the quality of his performance all these years, so it was natural to see him in that skating order. Although it was sad to see the show without Yuzu, the show itself was worth seeing.

But I’m so happy to be able to see Yuzu in FaOI this year!

I finally finished watching these links and really appreciate the time you took to post them.

Regarding the News clip in Kanazawa 2, I just adored the hosts on this news show.  They were so happy and enthusiastic!  And the 2 guys at the ice rink were hilarious! I don't know what any of them were saying, but if this is a morning show, I think this would be a great show to watch each day.

I also enjoyed the interview between Nobu, Miki, Akiko and Yuzu.  They were having so much fun.

Once again, thank you for posting these links.

It looks like they're having to really manage the sale of the FaOI pamphlets now.

If Google Translate is correct, there's a long line right now for the pamphlets, and they're only selling 2 per person.

The signs below also seem to say if it gets sold out, the pamphlets will be sold online at a later date.

Oh my god, please don't let this be another case of "is this dress white and gold or blue and black". Because I see red and onyx, barely any blue
