Depends on how many practices will be at the main rink. Then you can seat at different sides. But for Seimei I'd prefer judges side at least once (if not too far of course).

Does he usually do FS for first practice? I don’t know if I’m imagining that or not. (I’m this close to buying tickets on both sides to save my sanity.)

Usually yes if I remember correctly cuz during first practice a skater can choose to train SP or FS (though I'm more familiar with his GP schedule).

He did that at ACI and COR. No idea about last year, though, I didn't follow practices then... I think it's likely he'll do the same. It makes sense, since the SP is easier, due to length and number of elements, as well as the elements involved (even if he were to replace the 4Lo with 4Lz).

I booked my flights, finally. I'll have to take an exam with my luggage :13877886: and run to the airport asap once it's finished

I could have booked a flight on Thursday morning but then I'd miss the practices and just.. NO

Thanks for the info! I’ll prepare for musical chairs, then!

Hmmm, I wonder now if judges side or just as close as possible. I think I might be indecisive to the point of insanity. Please can I just be God so I can watch from every angle at every distance?

Did you buy your practice tickets?

I'm planning to buy one for Tuesday now (along with ladies SP tickets), and my options for the practice would be:

B18 row 4-5 (long side, opposite to the judges, skaters entrance)

B14 row 4-5 (short side, skaters entrance)

or B8 row 10 (long side, judges side, not far away from kiss and cry)

Not sure which one to choose, hmm judges side would be good although I'll the men short from there. B18 Skaters entrance + long side is also very good...

I'll arrive on Tuesday early morning in Milan, and probably won't sleep at all the previous night so I'll be really tired, but I don't want to miss a chance to see Yuzu, if he practices then.

I'll let you in on a secret. It doesn't matter where you sit. Soon as Yuzu is spotted, half the arena flocks towards to the area (usually near the skaters' entrance) where he is walking around. Nobody there is sitting then.

edit: actually, during the skating itself people are sitting down... I have this memory of where everybody is hanging over the barriers, but it must be before the skating when he really is walking around.

The blocks at the skaters entrance are usually completely full by the time he comes out. My experience is that people are quite disciplined, they don't really stand up and start to walk.

So I can steal their nice, middle of the long side seats, then? I don't care to see him drink and blow his nose, I just want to feel that step sequence power. :animated-smileys-character-075:

I bought a ticket for the practice on the 19th but not the 20th yet. I'm expecting to be sleepy or jet-lagged or something but, like you, figure it's better to be sleepy watching Yuzu than not. :)

I thought maybe it would be good to sit on the judges side so I went for B2. I just reaaaally want to see that murderface, though he won't do it in practice and sometimes he skips the hydroblade altogether. :13877886: At least those hypnotic crossrolls will be coming my way. :tumblr_inline_mueoe3Yabh1qdlkyg:

For the practice on the 20th I'm thinking about B18/19 but I'm still being madly indecisive about it. :P

If skaters entrance is really at B18 then it's probably the best block. Though judges side is very good too (but I'll sit there during men's SP...).

With or without murderface Seimei is amazing in practice... I hope you'll enjoy the whole thing :tumblr_inline_nhkf04zUM41qid2nw:

If he won't be there on Tuesday then I'll go there anyway for other skaters anyway, maybe I'll drink double or triple espresso then

YAY so I finally got confirmation that I'll be part of the voluntary team in Milano 2018!!!

I will be working for the team of 'customer assistance' of those who bought the All-Event packets - mainly, Japanese, Americans and Canadians. So I will work in the tribunes and in the lounges. It's pretty cool for me since I will be interacting a lot with fans (mainly Yuzuru fans... I bet LOL), and I will meet a lot of amazing people!

If some of you bought the all-event packets, then I might be in charge of making sure you are enjoying the event.

For now, I didn't tell my superior about any particular requests... (I'll probably tell her something about... being very passionate about Men's singles... but I doubt I'll be the only one).

I don't know why, but this amuses me. Did it really say that? I wonder why not Europeans...  :animated-smileys-hands-fingers-01:

I mean, how are you going to "separate" them from all the other all-events ticket holders? (Which I'm sure they won't, lol.)
