The Australian govt travel advisory site says watch out for frequent train strikes so I bloody hope I won’t have to catch a taxi all that way. :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid:

Oh... I didn't even think about that  Let's hope we won't get to experience this

The site says practices start at 6am everyday but it seems trains don't start running until after 6am. I know it's not a detailed or final schedule but Yuzu wouldn't be in the first group, right? We'd have time to get there before his group?

Reasonable to expect he won't be in first group

So sad... I'll be there only at 8:30 if all goes well...

If there's a problem with the trains my 30min trip becomes 1.5hrs on the bus so hopefully 8:30 will be okay. Of course, I'm just being a worry wart about everything. Everyone please ignore me. I think I need therapy to get over this trauma.

My FS ticket says "Intero + Practice", and since I don't know Italian or have been to any competitions yet.. does this mean that I can come to the practice that morning?

Omg!

So i can come to the practice that morning and do i have to leave before the competition or can i just stay there the whole day?

I randomly started getting notifications again today for this thread and see I missed pages of talks... I hope nothing too important!

I've been worrying a bit about getting to the venue early, too - apparently I'm about an hour away? :/ - but also hoping he won't be in the first groups. I'll investigate options, though. (I'm also analyzing my going home options because low-cost flight=traveling the city at ungodly hours to get to the airport in time, so I'm thinking of booking a sleeping pod at the airport and just spend the night there... does anyone have any experience with those zzzleepandgo things?)

I'm still wondering about gala practice... might they release tickets for that, too? Or include it in the gala ticket? That should be the most fun part of the competition, when they can all relax and goof around!

I'm pretty sure it's okay!

From the website FAQ:

CAN I EXIT AND RE-ENTER THE ARENA DURING AN EVENT?

It is possible to exit and re-enter the Mediolanum Forum during the event for which you have tickets. All tickets are valid for the entire duration of the event for which they were purchased.

>_> Sorry about that.

It seems pretty impossible to get anywhere less than a 30min trip away. Shuttle buses would be nice, though Google maps tells me there's terrible congestion anytime I check driving times (and driving seems to take a lot longer than the train, anyway.)

Why hasn't anyone built a stadium with a hotel in it yet? :yznotimpressed:

I wonder if we drown them in messages they'll open gala practice to ticket holders. It worked for CoR, right? Skating Gods, hear our prayers. :snonegai:

In a city with a direct metro between the venue and the city center, shuttle buses would be a waste of time and money.

Once you go to the venue, there’s really not much point in leaving again halfway through the day to go back to a hotel nearer to the city. Unless you want to sightsee etc.

But, there’s a shopping center across the street. Pretty sure that’s where a lot of people (and probably skaters, too) will be hanging out during practices/ competitions they’re not interested it. Or for dinner etc. I know the mall across the street in Barcelona was popular with fans and skaters.

Right, but if we want to get to the practices when they start then the metro is useless because trains don't seem to start running until after 6am. Then if you are at least half an hour away, you're likely not going to make it to your seat until closer to 7am.

My place is supposed to be 21 minutes away by M2 so hopefully there's no strike going on :fingerscrossed:
