We can always try to meet-up in between and have a wrap up dinner after the gala for those who are still around. We can plan once we're closer to the event. We can open a joint PM convo like we did for ACI and CoR to discuss particulars :tumblr_inline_ncmifaymmi1rpglid:

    I wonder how much you can see from a first row balcony seat :rolleye0008: Oh well, I guess watching short programs from above can be nice for a change :laughing: :animated-smileys-hands-fingers-01:

    From watching fancams it seems to give you a wonderful sense of flow and you can appreciate more the patterns of the choreography. I was quite close for NHK but I mostly got a sense of "near or far."

    I still have to get my plane ticket and double check hotels (I booked two of those 'pay later; cancel for free' types some time back, now I need to commit...)

     

    In a way I was a bit reluctant about big meetups before, as I'm generally very anti-social, but somehow, after meeting @SparkleSalad at NHK - and also talking to other fans there - I'm actually looking forward to it! I might still be the quiet one in the corner watching everyone, though lol

     

    And the arena looks so... red. I think my seats might just kill me...

    I think we'll do just fine :tumblr_inline_ncmifaymmi1rpglid: I'm always the quiet one too and experience a great deal of social anxiety at times but everyone is so nice here that for once I'm not afraid of meeting people :10742289:

    Ditto! I had no idea how it would be but I'm glad of it (and it sure helped take the edge off the trauma!) I didn't realise I wasn't at all a shy person anymore, it had been so long since I was actively social. :biggrin: I feel more confident than I did before I went and I'm very glad I took @yuzuangel 's swans, too. I was so anxious in the lead-up to it but it was nothing to hand them out once I got there. The power of origami!

    Where did you book the place? Assago is fairly away from Milan, so it would be a bit of a journey to go from there and back every day.

    Also, more than Italian, you should learn some milanese :biggrin: catchphrases like 'figa, oh' or 'Tac' and you're cool for the whole duration of your stay xDDD Actually, Max's Italian is northern accent, so you'd be cool with listening to his Italian and try to replicate the prosody :rofl:

    I booked an airbnb place that is 30 min by transit to the forum. I don't mind spending a little more time travelling to Milan city center. =P

     

    And I'm learning Italian too! Want to be able to have basic conversations!
