Not so serious but I found some mis-translation.

昨年12月27日の信濃毎日新聞は、一面にカラーで羽生結弦の写真を掲載した。写真にかぶせて赤い文字で、大きくこう書いた。

「羽生 別格」

 白抜きで、試合についても書いた。抜粋して引用する。

"On December 27th last year, the Shinano Mainichi Shimbun posted a color photo of Yuzuru Hanyu on the front page. Over the photo, the newspaper wrote in large red letters.

"Hanyu: Exceptional"

It also wrote about the competition in white letters. The following is an excerpt from the article."

(Note:  Shinano is the old name of Nagano area)

I just wanted to underline the word 別格 (bekkaku) as "exceptional", not simply "special", and this was not said by Utsunomiya-san.

Sorry for nitpicking :smiley-scared005:

Thank you @SuzyQ

I know Mikhail Pletnev, an internet friend of mine is big fan of him, but even with the knowledge of how popular Yuzu is in Russia I still didn't expect Pletnev to know Yuzu, much less for him to be excited for Yuzu 😅😆 — just didn't expect there to be a connection (of sorts) between him and Yuzu 😆😆

2. Was Ballade 3.0 an upgrade by Satomi based on Nagashima's design? Source?

You mean 17/18 season version?

Wow! Thank you very much! :agree:

As it is said in the list (デザインのみ), Shizuko Orihara is the designer of the White Legend costume, but Yumi Hanyu actually made it.

Just as Johnny Weir designed the Zigeunerweisen costume, and Yumi made it.

i don't know where can i put this so-

Yes. I read that Nagashima retired in 2015 and wondered who created the costume for Ballade No. 1 in the 17/18 season. (Oh and yes, I mean version 4.0, as there were two in 14/15)

1. Do you know sources that confirm Tadashi Nagashima as costume designer of Parisienne Walkways and Ballade No. 1?

I found this video, but I don't know what broadcast that was (channel, date, title etc.)

If you know a written source like a news article, that would be even better.

This video is an excerpt from Good! Morning aired by TV Asahi, on November 5, 2014, to promote CoC2014. Here is a longer video. The segment featured his costume starts around the 05:39 mark.

Although they don't mention the designer's name here, it is clearly Tadashi Nagashima, introduced in this news clip (watch from 00:43) as the designer of the costume worn by Yuzuru Hanyu at Sochi2014 when he skated Parisienne Walkways. This video is an excerpt from NONSTOP, aired by Fuji, on May 13, 2015.

Sorry for all these questions :13877886:

As to later versions of Ballad No.1 costumes, it is not clear who designed them. In 2017, Satomi Ito said that Yuzu's FP and EX costumes since POTO 2.0 were her works when a fan asked Satomi if she designed the one for Notte Stellata.

Excuse me but I'm currently on a BTS-bender and please correct me if I'm wrong but... remember when Twt went crazy after Yuzu danced to parts of BTS's DNA? I was watching some BTS performances and realized Yuzu's chokehold move could have come from Taehyung (V)'s move here (link at the moment mentioned). I mean it would make sense because he probably studied that choreography quite a bit. I'm a bit hyped right now because they're holding their annual fan meet/concert so please excuse me :8788161:

I was watching TV Asahi's re-run of WTT this morn, and saw Louis Thauron and Adeline Galyavieva use the same move and thought the same thing lol! (I think it was them! I'll have to rewatch now!) I suppose all artists are influenced by other artists! Maybe Louis is into BTS too?!!  :wink_star:
