Umebachi
In the future, I hope Yuzu will develop his own program Continues with Wings into a truly artistic/cultural event, combining quality music with high level skating performance. This music concert is a glimpse into that future. Currently, most ice shows are such a mixed bag of low-brow stuff interspersed with occasional great performances, but not presented as a cohesive artistic program. Link to comment

The waves didn’t strike that place, luckily, as far as I gathered. It's not the first time media - especially Western media - make it sound like Yuzu was affected by the tsunami and it bothers me every time. His story is plenty dramatic as it is, with the ground shaking hard enough he couldn't stand, crawling out of the rink on all fours, the rink feeling like it might collapse, although it didn't, but it did get badly damaged, his home being damaged, which is why he had to be in the evacuation center for 4 days, before moving elsewhere (probably a temporary home, then living without electricity, gas, water etc. The tsunami did strike Sendai, but the outer parts of it, nearer the coast, I think, and the devastation was incredible, but it didn't reach the inner parts of the city, like where Ice Rink Sendai is. Simply checking a map, you can see Ice Rink Sendai is really far from the coast. That said, whenever I see "barely had time to evacuate the building" I wonder if they might discuss the ceiling... I think I remember in an interview with Takeshi Honda, he pointed out where he'd been on the ice by saying he was under the part where there was a chunk of the ceiling missing. Which always made me wonder if that chunk fell during the earthquake, because that would really make it a true near miss... It doesn't take a tsunami for the whole experience to have felt like near death, tbh. Link to comment
Umebachi
I managed to download Music with Wings, but the file is too large for the PH platform. Here is the google drive link - I hope it works! The concert was moving. The conductor and the pianist were asked to speak about their experiences watching Hanyu-senshu skate and their words were moving. Will translate later if the other usual translators on Twitter don't get around to it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1D9HihCddbZ3XFjemIjC209GyTh6YU7eh/view?usp=sharing Link to comment

Fingers crossed for a global tour/ easy ticket channels for foreign fans. Yuzu please, I beg Link to comment

Perfect skin certified by specialists!!! A deserved award, but so jealous with his natural skin with 0 skincare. Like it's a God's gift, a perfect combination of genetics + life-long exercise to always keep it clean and moisture. Lack of either cant create this wonder. Link to comment
SitTwizzle
Do you think he really uses no skin care at all, with the aggression of the cold etc? I had already noticed how his skin seemed perfect, and the way he sweats after his programs show it even more. Usually seeing somebody sweat is not that pleasant, but with him, it is a beauty. sweetwater
Watched Music with wings on TV. It truly was moving. I am thankful to Asahi for airing it because I could not go there myself in January. I was away from Tokyo to do some stuff for my parents at that time. I especially loved Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and Ballade No.1 with piano by Kotaro Fukuma. The latter was a full version and it gave me goosebumps. I am working on something else now so I am going to leave the translation to others, but some of the performers' comments were very interesting. Especially Kotaro, who loves figure skating and knows what Yuzu is doing well was in a sense cheering for Yuzu in his comment and it was touching. @Umebachi, Yuzu did skate to rock Vivaldi in 2006-2007 season, although the program title was "Summer Storm." Spoiler @KatjaThera, I think this is the interview you referred to, Spoiler but he didn't talk about the ceiling here. He said that he was standing on the center of the ice where there was no pillar near him so he held on to a senpai. Since there was no pillar, there was a possibility that the ceiling above them would fell, but it didn't happen. However, my friend lived in the same area said in a shopping mall she often visited, all the escalators fell with the floor (ceiling) around them, so everyone in the area really was close to death, even when they were away from the waves. Haha I have no idea tbh but I’m pretty sure he has to use a simple moisturiser at least? Being in super cold weather really makes your skin cracked and flaky haha from my own experience XD Link to comment
