Me too. I am only very much speculating but maybe, just maybe his pie-in-the-sky dream would be to lead Sendai's skating program and turn it into a powerhouse like Nagoya or Kansai. But I think Sendai seems far too laid-back and classy to hurdle and lobby hard like those powerful powerhouses. Which is not a bad thing imo; Sendai can still become one of the major destinations for figure skating where skaters from all parts are welcomed. It doesn't have to hustle so hard just for a little bit of attention from the fed.

With another quad you mean 4Lz, right? Dun dun dun. :shifty: Your comment cracks me up more than it should have :rofl2: :rofl2: Like, someone finally addressed the elephant in the room we were all thinking about but kept silent on

I'm doing 'image training' of this scenario and nothing I imagine could seem any less extra than any other one

wow all this future talk is getting me excited! I really hope he will continue to be in the scene, and a future career as a technical coach/specialist seems very suitable for him (no way in hell should he choreograph though lmaoo he has fun coming up with moves to move to the music on the fly, but choreography is a different ball game, and from what I've seen so far.. he should stay away from it sorry but that's my honest opinion)

team japan always has the most unique costumes, certainly won't get bored  Lol right?? You can always count on them delivering colours and stones and mesh and dashes of being extra :rofl2:

Do you by any chance remember where this one is from? Is it the same Layla as the one who posts fancams? I managed to never notice the position of his right hand fingers before, and even with the hair in his face you can tell he's making a gentle expression. I think it can be found here? https://ajtl.pictures.fi/kuvat/Figure+S ... tion+gala/ pls correct me if I'm wrong about this being the source

Also, replicating something that has been perfected before is not an easy feat. He'll always have to chase after that elusive perfect performance, or be haunted forever by its ghost. Our boy is much more clever than that!

My thoughts exactly. The only thing that counts in competition is what you actually do on the ice, not what you could have done. Pointing out trends in how subjective scores are given (be it GOEs or PCs) is one thing, but if someone flubbed a 3F they flubbed a 3F[/]. End of discussion. But whatever: people will be people and there's always going to be somebody trying to excuse their fave. It's the double standard that bugs me. "Oh Hanyu lost the gold at 4CC bc his mistakes were too costly/ he had a 'bad day' so accept that as a fact and shut up. But if at Helsinki the Lutz wasn't flubbed we could have had a different podium! Would you just think about that! Imagine what almost could have been!"

wholeheartedly agree! while I can imagine he still has doubts about the 4lz, what I'm not uncertain about is his immense fighting spirit and unbelievably brilliant mind. he can totally see what's going on (I mean even we can!) and will judge how to tackle the big O while taking into consideration his health and abilities. I trust his sharp sense and unfazed attitude in front of a challenge! :space:

Yeah I'm totally okay with Yuzu having less burden and pressure on his shoulders. I can say that I was definitely not concerned about the attention Shoma's getting, in fact I think a lot of us is quite cool with it. What ticks people off, though, is when lies in various forms are fabricated to bring shoma up and Yuzu down for the sake of rivalry/ratings/politicking etc. It's not fair to both of them, and it leaves a bad taste in fans' mouths.
-
The what-ifs game is never credible or valid, period. It all depends on how well skaters perform on the day. If they didn't win bc they were held down, that's another matter. But saying 'if this skater didn't mess up the Lutz' or 'if that skater didn't fall' they would have won is really stupid and frankly ignorant. They made mistakes that cost them the gold/a medal. What if Yuzu didn't botch his SP at 4CC? What if the CoD was solved by GPF? what if he never got injured before Worlds '16? He could've snatched all golds all season!! (See how ridiculous that sounds?)

Yeah aside from the ill-fitting issue I think this is a major aesthetic setback of the costume. The colour blocks just don't seem to gel together well enough. And I'm also not a fan of the fabric material, personally, but I know it was made by Mama Hanyu and fabrics of the best quality were not always an option at that time

I think the (white/brackground) spacing between each posts should clear wider/ clearer and easier to spot. It makes for a cleaner, more organised presentation, and prevents pages from looking 'clustered' bc there's seemingly no break between the ramblings  especially when one's scrolling down fast to find a specific post

Don Juan or Don Quixote are the most obvious possibilities, but I've seen someone even speculate it could be Picasso. Woah I didn't know Picasso was Spanish Thought he was more Italian lol If Javier's gonna be Picasso then it's indeed.. interesting to think about  -
his bangs are very straight omg lol how did I not notice that he's really easing into his looks as a choreographer now :s_thumbsup

Translated for you guys :D -What can you tell us about these shows (programs i guess) that you've prepared for PyeongChang 2018? -For the short i can say we'll visit an old friend again. Won't be the same, but we'll use a part from the same music. I think it will be a good idea. The free will have spanish music, but won't be something traditional. We've chosen a spanish character that is known around the world, so the people can put a face on what i am doing and skating. Until we have it on the table (i thiiiiiink this would mean in english something like, until the time comes to discuss it seriously) we won't know what we're going to do as the final result. Thanks for your translation! And I know he'll rock the Spanish programme, he's done so many times before now. I'm very curious about the famous character he's going to portray too
