So, I guess for that otome game, every Yuzu could have a different name, huh? Onmyouji Yuzu is actual Yuzuru Dark Yuzu is Yu/azura(annoyed at being called girl's name) Cute Yuzu is just Yuzu Cool Yuzu is Yuzuri (bc Sochi!) And...I forget what other types are=_= omg the possibilities are running wild in my head :rofl2:

Landings, mechanics, etc of FS jumps

When you have to 'save' your landings every single time, that's not an advantage of body type, that's poor techniques that could be due to body type. He might not fall a lot bc of his supposedly 'soft knees', but those 'successful' jumps are no where near decent. His airtime is generally quite short, which causes his landing foot to reach the ice before he could complete his rotations, hence the knee twist to adjust his whole body to keep it from falling. -

Lol we don't talk of Shoma's landings here.. or it'll turn into pages and pages of analysis and gifs/videos :rofl2: Nathan's and Boyang's jumps have room for improvement but it's entirely different for Shoma (as in, he doesn't just 'wobble'; it's much worse than that lol). Tbf his body type might be at a disadvantage compared to other jumpers in the field, but it is what it is and doesn't change the fact that he has rather poor techniques on his jumps

Also, I believe this cool down method is Tracy's ideas, right? To take it easy and relax your muscles. She really does seem like a perfect mentor for Yuzu, I desperately hope to see her again a lot more next season, for Yuzu's sake and also to calm down our nerves *laughs nervously*

Ugh, don't even get me started... and that because the TP decided to sleep during the US ladies programs, because the carrots missing for these alone would have dropped them majorly. Canada having more spots then Japan is also a shame, but they definitely deserve it with how awesome Kaet & Gabby were (and I like Alaine, but I'm not sure she deserves to go to Olys more than the Japanese ladies who won't make it) Ironically this incident is what opened JSP's eyes to Satoko's amazing consistence and reliability that they took for granted for years. She's another tough cookie I have deep respect for. It's not easy continuing to try your best when your efforts are not deservedly recognised *sigh*

As much as I'm not fond of Nathan's wobbly landings, he does have amazing edges on both the flip and lutz (which I don't see very often so that's got to be very difficult) And once again I'm reminded of Boyang's amazing height on his lutz. he has airtime to spare before his landing foot even touches the ice! no wonder it always looks like he's flying when his lutz is in full mode

Omg I brought up quints as a joke but it sure escalated quickly :rofl2: I honestly don't think we'll see them any time soon, or ever tbh. let alone in competition. which is why isu doesn't give them base value. it's just absurd to even think about :s_crazy:

you're welcome! :grin: i watched the grand prix series whenever i can but i only watched the competitions and the grand prix finals without know how each skater was assigned i never really understood everything just from reading The Edge either (i've also been wondering this for a long time, but what does "BS" stand for? does it have special meaning or is it just typo?) oh it's what I've decided to call g*lden sk*te instead of GS lol :rofl2: sorry for the unintentional confusion! :xD: -
speed doesn't guarantee springiness, I think? you can still rotate very fast while leaving the ice in a short amount of time.. We have plenty of examples like satoko, yulia, shoma etc.

Very insightful analysis, mcq! :clap: :clap: I agree a lot with the concern about height. Certain body types just don't allow you to jump very high, it's not something you can work on to improve. So even if one skater has a good 3A, he might never be able to fully complete 4.5 rotations for the same jump. Especially if you look at 'easier' quads he can land and see that his airtime for the quad is almost the same as that for the triple

Omg now that you mention it it really is aesthetically inferior (read: ugly) compared to his other jackets. didn't help that he actually wore it performing freaking PPAP in front of a home crowd :ohno:

That would be the day my soul leaves my mortal body for sure. Just thinking about it is giving me a headache... :rofl2: urgh, tell me about it. i hate that I have to live on the edge of my seat always pondering yuzu's next move lol. is it another quad? another quad combo? AXEL as a quad? a freaking QUINTUPLE? and none of those he hasn't verbally mentioned at least once :omg: he has too much power over my life :rofl2:
