sallycinnamon Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 I watched the final of international Liszt piano competition 2021 today. There were four pianists, an Italian, a Canadian and Hungarian guy and a Georgian girl. They are all very talented but I loved the Canadian boy and the Georgian girl the most. I think the winners will be announced tomorrow (I think Kevin Chen from Canada will win this)
Fay Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 A lifetime ago, before Yuzu was born, Queen’s Roger Taylor performed this song with Yoshiki and ToshI.
rockstaryuzu Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Anyone up for some all-day concert action? Global Citizen Live is on right now...a world-wide virtual concert in support of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals...worth a look:
tafattsbarn Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 This is among the contenders for song of the year for me lol, i can't even tell you how many times i've listened to it
sallycinnamon Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Happy International Music Day. I chose this calming and relaxing ambient album for today.
Lira Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Live stream from Chopin International Piano Competition. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSTXol20Q01Uj-U5Yp3IqFg Chopin's music and so many great young talented people trying to present their interpretations of Chopin's masterpieces.
Sayu93 Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Oh how I would cryout joyfully If the rumored piano sp was this ...(i would be very amenable to any lizst/Rachmaninow/Chopin or anything in that direction though)
Guest turquoiseblue Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 I was listening to Warrior by Aurora on loop while working out today This is an empowering song that makes me feel strong and helps me to relieve worry, stress and anxiety. It's also the song that I listened to every day from November 2017 until 17 February 2018, which really helped me mentally and emotionally.
DancingFeather Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Because there are grands prix going on.
Guest turquoiseblue Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Today's workout music on loop: "View of Silence" and "Asian Dream Song"
sallycinnamon Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 I'm sad Nick Drake didn't get recognition and success in his short lifetime. He released 3 albums in the late 1960s and early 1970s but barely gave any concerts and refused to give any interviews. He died at the age of 26 and his music became known only decades after he passed away. He wrote beautiful melodies, had unique finger picking technique and experimented with different tunings, which created a special atmosphere in his songs. His melodic, dreamy voice was also part of his extraordinary sound. I always enjoy listening to his albums and songs.
