You're welcome!  Btw, have you seen any flower ceremony recordings (Japanese broadcast) floating around?

Here you are - just added it to existing Google drive https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-iTHLLp1RgrK_CC6D3fWcmFGCsPjCOiF?usp=sharing

PlushieCeremony added ^^

ETA: I cut the wrong recording (just the highlight vid and not the FS vid ><) - will do the whole thing now - I didn't notice ><

ETA2: Added PlushieCeremonyFull which has the whole ceremony ^^

Did Yuzu skate around the rink with the Japanese flag? I've seen photos with the flag draped across his shoulders. Yuzu skating with his flag is my favorite photo from Sochi.

This is probably not the right place to post (?). Maybe Fluff is a better place.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :tumblr_inline_n18qr5lPWB1qid2nw: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:tumblr_inline_mm2wbaeqQM1qz4rgp:

Okay, so I finally calmed down enough to look at the protocols and... J2... how is this person... why is this person...

Tiny bit :salty: that anyone could give those first two perfect jumps less than +3.

There would have been 6 elements this season with +3 from every single judge otherwise.

Ah, this is 'judging skating while american'. Overall, this judge put Zu in 5th, Zhou is placed 3rd. In what world?! And if this, in any way, reflects how the US view skating, either they are doomed or FS is doomed (depending on how much their politicking can influence ISU).

I finally started to catch up with everything including this thread too, it'll take a while until I finish reading all the new posts and watch the videos but I can't wait to read your posts..

I couldn't be more happier for Yuzuru :tumblr_inline_nhkezsTB3v1qid2nw: and not mainly because he won the Olympic gold medal. More like because it is just the best feeling to see him happy and satisfied with his skate, after what he has been gone through recently and overall, in the past years. After the free skate he looked so carefree and joyous, even when no one knew that he was going to win the competition. Because he knew that whatever colour the medal would be, he won the battle against himself, and that's the biggest achievement he could have reached.

Chopin was foot perfect let's just not count the level 3 on the change foot combo spin and extra beautiful. I can't express it enough how much I love this program. :tumblr_inline_n18qraikFP1qid2nw:When he started the StSq and looked up (it looked like he looked up at our section ) the euphoria was so big that we all started to scream even louder than after 4T-3T. It was a magical moment which I won't forget. :smiley-love017:

Seimei was incredibly exciting, Yuzu performed and interpreted it very well again with SO MUCH command on the ice. It's just amazing how much control he needs to make those elements but they all look easy and he skates with beautiful flow and freedom.

Yuzuru is capable of drawing in the audience into his performance like no one, and this is exactly what happened in both programs at the Olympics, too. I am just very happy that he decided to bring these programs back for this season. Many people didn't believe in him and criticized him but he showed that the decision was right.

I've got water in my eyes.

Question, are any of the satellites at the place alive?

I got so emotional that I started crying uncontrollable after Shoma's scores were announced. I was just sitting there and couldn't stop it for minutes.

All I could think of how hard it must have been for him, the past years, the past months, all the struggles, the injuries, the pressure he had to face, everything...and he did it, he skated two programs which made him happy and I felt so much relief and happiness myself.

My eyes became teary many times after the competition finished, and I feel that I still need time to process everything I experienced there. What an unforgattable event it was.

Thank you so much for this post!

It reflects my feelings watching it on stream live ,  and now rewatching it over and over, and it makes me relive it and feel a little bit as if I had been there.

:thanks:

I was sitting next to a nice Japanese lady during the free skate. We weren't sitting very close to the rink but we could see everything. It was maybe even better in some ways because you didn't need to keep moving your head to keep him in your line of sight. I was trying very hard to keep myself from feeling optimistic, because I didn't want to have high expectations. The short program is one thing but the free skate is twice as long with more than twice the number of jumps. But afterwards we hugged each other and were both crying so hard that the people in front of us turned around and gave us a quizzical look but we didn't care <3 They left right after Shoma's skate and didn't wait for the medal ceremony but I think they were American+Canadian fans so I guess there was nothing left to see there.

God you will NOT believe the energy in the building after any jump, and the moment he started his choreographic sequence after hanging on to that lutz. It was truly everyone who've been with Yuzu during this treacherous season just...letting it all go and celebrating. They must have some noise reducers for the live broadcasts because it can't be easy to drown out all of that noise.

The two rows above me had signs saying "congratulations(?) on the gold medal" in japanese which is BALLLLLLSYYY i couldn't have done such a thing! but so awesome that they did!

All in all, the most magical night ever <3

Ok, so I was rewatching some skates from the Czech TV archive, and I realized: apparently, Nathan's 6-quad FS was so "legendary" that Czech TV didn't even show it :smiley-laughing021:

I have watched the video of audience when Yuzu was confirmed as gold. I can image the heat during choreographic sequence. Can’t wait for fancam.. guess I will cry again :tumblr_inline_n18qr5lPWB1qid2nw: jealous lol

Oh, I can believe this :smiley-love017: still remember the clapping and energy during his final spin at Helsinki FS <3 (during broadcasts you can't here the clapping that much only at fancams) but I'm sure Olys was even more wonderful experience! (though every experience in watching Yuzu live is wonderful in it's own way)

Yuzu was so happy that it was hard not to be happy and proud with him :tumblr_inline_nhkezsTB3v1qid2nw: and with Shoma it was decided after the first jump.

I don't think anyone was certain he was gonna win the gold, but he said it himself, he was screaming "I won! I won!" after finishing his FS and you could see it in the choreo sequence how happy and free he felt. He had won against himself, he was happy, so we were all happy as well. After he skated, I didn't even care if Javi or Shoma were gonna score higher than him. Of course though, as soon as Shoma fell on the loop, Max Ambesi screamed "SO IT'S OFFICIAL: HANYU YUZURU DEFENDS HIS OLYMPIC TITLE AND WINS GOLD but yeah I guess let's follow Shoma for now".

I need to hear Max lose his shiz like that.
