I think the medal is a photo but the Yuzu isn’t?

of course the yuzu part looks absolutely beautiful as well! but ooh silly me lol I thought all of it was hand drawn :tumblr_inline_n0o1ff0hmf1qid2nw: :tumblr_inline_mqt4grU8ua1qz4rgp:

First of all, thank you @SparkleSalad and @KatjaThera for the live report from Osaka and for spreading positive energy by giving out swans and hugs for all the fanyus on-site....Sorry you guys have to suffer through this shock first hand, and for the missed opportunities, but take care of yourselves and there will be more chances to see him to come!

Second of all, I think there needs to be clarification on Yuzuru's injury on the planet... The newscaster read the official doctor's report and many news had the formal diagnosis printed out , it's "右足関節外側靱帯損傷" which translate to damage to the Lateral collateral Ligament of Right Foot (which is a complex of 3 ligaments securing the outer side of your ankles : the anterior talofibular ligament, the posterior talofibular ligament and the calcaneofibular ligament) Yes, there is also lateral collateral ligament of the knee, but there is also lateral collateral ligament of the ankle, spine, wrist etc , this is why being precise with medical term is important and it's also important not to jump to conclusion without getting the full diagnosis to avoid unnecessary confusion and worries... So all in all I just want to say, I think the injury is localized to his ankle only, not to the knee and so we shouldn't say that it concern the knee or worry about it as for now. these are very commonly injured ligament when you sprain your ankles, but ligament injury can be tricky because it's harder to monitor the healing process...Just praying that it's not a major tear and he can heal fast and properly before next competition.

Stay strong, fellow satellites! I ugly cried a river thinking how kuyashi and heartbroken  he must be, and for the difficulty he will face ahead...But we must gather our courage and energy for him and remain his pillar of support!!!:grouphug:

should we do a birthday project for him? It is the first birthday that was not at gpf for him...

I was thinking about this too, but not good at coming up with ideas for these kinds of projects =_=

Partial rupture of the anterior talofibular ligament was what put Kohei Uchimura out of the World AA championships - he's another one who competes while injured so it must be painful.

Hi guys. I just woke up to the really sad news. What a day to start :(. It's really a shame he won't be able to defend his GPF title but well as the rest of you right now I'm more concerned about his health. It's really unfortunate this had to happened right in the Olympic season but I'll try to be positive and of course I'll keep supporting this incredible young man. Just like the hard times this one will pass too :)

:crybaby:About that, too.

I knew his WD when my train was passing Kyoto. My head and mind went empty, I have been in the shock state ever since. My ticket is ice crystal ones, so I had to go to the venue anyway. I watched all through the competition, but I didn't feel anything. To me, people seemed pretty cheerful there and I felt a bit puzzled because I know most of them are Yuzu fans. Maybe many were with friends and it is not appropriate to be so serious when you are with friends.

I really admire those who came from abroad and had to face this situation. You are behaving very brave and awsome! I am Japanese and not young, yet today I missed the station twice, lost my way, and dropped many things. I just felt so upset. I am very sad and sorry for you, but at the same time, I am happy Yuzu has such extraordinary fans all over the world. I hope you will have another opportunity to see Yuzu in Japan in the future!

As far as I know, according to the news, his injury was ankle not knee, though l am not surprised his knee was affected.

Also, I read that his fever was very high the day before practice. That fever must have influenced his bad landing of 4 lutz surely.

"I'm in perfect condition," he said with a bright, feverish smile that should've belied his words.

That's Yuzu.

It's ok, better out than in works for sadness, too. But once we're done crying, we have to be strong and support him while he gets better and becomes stronger. And believe completely that he'll be stronger and better than ever. That's our part. It's all we can do so we'll do it damn well, right?

I was completely hopeless today, too.

I had a hard time feeling anything as well. I was trying not to cry the whole competition, though I clapped and cheered and laughed and smiled. I was so spaced out and I don’t remember much. I’m still in shock myself.
