Oh, wow, there will be tickets allotted for foreigners. Nice.

I can try to go, but I'd much rather go to the GPF. Although I'll try both and see. I can always sell the tickets. Seems like you can't resell the tickets. Well, if I can't get a name change or whatever on them it's not the end of the world.

GPF (and in Nagoya) is scary. Will fight for NHk first :tumblr_inline_mqt4gi2T9v1qz4rgp:

I'm curious how all that lottery thing works? There's site where you must apply for it or by phone? What do you need to take part in the lottery: Japanese phone number/credit card/address?

I'm mostly interested in terms of future events (maybe I'll try my luck for FaOI or even 2019 WC).

I will be in Japan on vacation so maybe could by a Japanese phone for myself but I dunno that it will work from Europe due to another network standard.

:offtopic: Does FaOI also usually has page for foreigners or no?

I really want to go because I also really want to visit Japan again. :crybaby:

But with the Olympics taking up at least 2 weeks (possibly 3), worlds 1 week, 1 week autumn classic, and I'm taking one week off in august...

...I don't know if I'll still have a job after next season haha :eeking:

plane tickets are $1300 lol hm...

No, I don't want to check right now...

So, I e-mailed e-tix to ask if there are a certain number of seats allocated to foreign buyers and got this reply:

For all seats are managed and assigned by the event organizer to each ticket agent. Each ticket agent will have different seat allocation to sell. We have no control of how many seat will be assigned for oversea sale and it will not be disclose before on-sale. The on-sale is first come first served basis.

I'm not sure if that's a yes or a no or why they're telling me about ticket agents when they're the ones selling them.

If there are no tickets allocated just to foreigners then I don't have a chance.

Anyone else want to have a go at getting info?

Anyone who can read Japanese can you tell me the details on the Pia site? I live in Japan so I should be able to get the ticket. Is it a lottery that's open now or open in August? I might be traveling so would someone else be able to go or is it by name purchased under?

Hi, I can't read Japanese but we're on the same boat.. I live in Japan too :tumblr_inline_ncmifaymmi1rpglid:

The lottery will begin on August 10 for the all event tickets.

For now you can register yourself at pia, so you'll be ready when the lottery is opened :)

To those who've been to NHK previously: do they have reserved seating or free seating per section?

A very kind person on GS explained to me that in their experience they were only able to choose the section/category of seating and then the seat number was randomly assigned to them. So it's not free seating but you also can't choose your exact seat. They stressed that this was a few years ago but I don't think it will have changed.

@SparkleSalad ohhhhh that's good news but also kind of bad lmao. I do wonder if you buy two tickets on a section would it be seats that are together or would there be a possibility they'd be apart? Hmmm. In any case we can only buy two tickets at a time anyway. :idk:

I finally got a reply to my own questions and this is what I got from it:

- no lottery for overseas tickets, so once bought, they're bought. That also means there are tickets reserved for overseas, I would say. Of course, we don't know how many. So while this is a huge advantage over Japanese buyers, in that we know right away if we get them or not, but once they're sold out, they're sold out.

- I'm still confused over the ticket limit. They said the limit is two tickets per day and per order. And if one needs tickets for other days, one needs to make another order. If that works, it's still fine (though it's two payments, with double the taxes), but then why put a limit, if you can make multiple orders? I might go back with a second question...

- Lastly, no public practices. This was written very clearly. Sadly... (Now I kind of want to try Milan again, because I want to see Yuzu practice... >.>)
