Leaving Phiten for tomorrow (though I'll have to ask first if they still have the Yuzu present option).

 

Today I found the YUZURU photobook at Nakano Broadway... I seriously have to stop buying Yuzu magazines and photobooks...

I give up on the calendars. I’ve looked in every shop I can find and nothing. And now the desktop seems sold out online.  I am having bad Yuzu luck.

You might find them later on Yahoo Auctions (through proxy sites), cheaper. I got last year's cheaper, I think... but of course, with their share and delivery costs...

 

But it seems everything Yuzu sells out even more this year... (Seems NHK wasn't so bad last year, either...)

Desktop was available on Amazon before NHK.  thought I had time. Selling now for 4,000JPY

Oh, that one I wanted to... That's one that they apparently had at the Irene shop >_< But I haven't seen in shops either

The mysterious Irene shop that no one has seen... Would you recommend the calendar you got? (Is it the Noto Sunao one? Is there a pretty swan?)

Yeah... and pictures are kind of crappy, but this is the desktop one I got:

And nobody can accuse Yuzu of not doing his job of selling products... Just spent 18000yen at Phiten on two necklaces, to get the present lol (But they're actually cool, so I can't regret it...)

I was contemplating buying something from Nishikawa to get the clock, but a 100,000 yen futon is a bit too much... never mind that I have no idea how I'd take it home ^_^;

Getting ready for my last day in Japan... back to reality... and three days of work, before another week off to study for the JLPT ^_^; My spare luggage is 75% Yuzu stuff and it has a total weight of 16kg... Japanese high quality paper will be the death of me...  I also stocked up on ingredients to recreate Yuzu's hot chocolate recipe while studying... >_>;

 

Still no luck with that most elusive of calendars... (I actually asked that guy where he found it, but he didn't tell me He just said to look in smaller stores.) The others they even sell on one of the shopping streets near Senso-ji...

I got back on Saturday. Half my suitcase was Yuzu magazines and books, partly because I went overboard carefully wrapping them with cardboard and bubble wrap so as not to squish the corners (success!) I realised when unpacking that I hadn’t bought anything else for myself, just souvenirs for my family, and yet my mother said her favourite things I bought were the magazines! (I went to so much trouble to find her beautiful souvenirs )

 

I gave up on the desktop calendar and used the money I saved by eating only convenience store food for 2 weeks to order the Sunao Noto wall calendar. I hope it’s real purdy. Now for another 4 months of eating rice and beans to try to get to Worlds. 

 

Good luck with the JLPT, not that you need it!
