This is just my twisted standards but any injury Yuzu has that isn't as bad as Rostelecom 18 injury doesn't register as an injury in my mind 🤪, so yeah the ones that he can skate on with a painkiller? Just an ouchie 🤪🤪 (and yeah ofc his skating will be affected. How affected it would be (ergo would it be worth the risk), is anyone's guess...).

After he skated in Stockholm right after an asthma attack, I don't think he has WD card on his desk ever.

This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

Tomorrow is going to be one hell of a rollercoaster ride. Are we mentally ready fanyus?  Never in my life i would have thought yuzu(most likely) not medal at his (most likely) last olympics. But i guess better days are coming. I trust him. Tame and land that 4A yuzu. If not here, somewhere else. Then, take your final bow  and walk away (competitively). Then open your own personal sns and yt channel coz god knows how much i wanted to see yuzu's daily vlog, what i eat in a day and skincare routine.😊😍

Here, when asked about the timing of his arrival, he said that he decided after the team was announced. Seems like they did not ask him.

Tbf, it could be just wording?

But man, I can't imagine how hard it should be for him now. The ice hole only disturbed him and his performance and all other skaters went almost cleanish after him. He had obviously prepared so well for the SP and could jump 4S so effortlessly in practices. He couldn't show the full potential of Rondo in Olympics stage. Add to this, he has the burden/pressure of a whole nation on his shoulder and that alone can break down any human.

Now, he has to jump 4A which is never clean in his open practices and also fell on his attempt and was in pain afterwards. I never want to be him tbh. I cannot handle it even for a second.

But well, he chose to go after 4A. So he knows the path will be very hard.

Edit: I just hope whatever happens tomorrow, he can handle it well and stand up after it and move forward. I also hope he won't injure himself during the competition on the 4A. That jump is so risky and he seems desperate to rotate it.

It could be, yes, the best way is to ask a Japanese speaker here or the translation team. but for now I’m taking it as someone else made the call.

yes, right, somehow I missed it when I read the translation. It seems then it wasn't his decision but rather JSF's. Although Yuzu mentions he gets tired at long competitions but I don't know if he wanted to do TE or not if he could choose.

Watching the video of the practice, it is obvious that he hurt his ankle. How bad is the injury remains to be seen. In the end it is his decision on what to do about it. I hope he withdraws if it is bad or can get worse by skating the free. If not, I will pray for his well being and that he at least give a performance he is satisfied with in this situation.

Since I saw Reddit mentioned here I feel I should warn those who haven't been there before that the FS Reddit hates fanyus. There is a "Fanyus are awful" discussion in every competition time and there are users who have nothing better to do than look for the worse examples of behaviour from our fandom to share there to criticise the entire fandom.

I think maybe if the injury is too bad Yuzu might try out the 4Lo jump layout...

Imagine if he has his own series on Netflix or Disney+ after he retires 😆

He tried it out today (not successful), so I think he might go for it if 4A doesn't work. But honestly, he seemed a little out of mind today in general and it was a more "let-out-all-frustrations" kind of situation.

If he is injury-free and goes for 4Loop and lands it (with squeaky clean free skate), he has a chance for silver. It will depends on what he wants: medal or attempting 4A.

Maybe. A friend who knows Japanese told me that's really how he worded it.

I know this is very unlikely, but I would laugh so hard if he skated it at the gala, just for that reason.
