I personally think the best way to approach tomorrow is to expect literally nothing. Not expecting 4A, not even clean skate and not even getting higher than 5th in total.

I just want tomorrow to pass and he leaves Beijing in good health and move forward for the future (if he thinks he can).

I don't doubt his magical abilities but the best (at least for me) is to accept that according to fate, for whatever reason, his struggles still shouldn't be over.

Yeah i just hope he's healthy and move on from this cursed event.

I think the thread opens an hour or so before the event? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Reddit is US-dominated so that's no surprise there. I only subscribed to Yuzu's sub, even so I rarely go on there so.

Thank you😊

umm if it's doping, it would be very stupid of them!!  Unless ROC invented one that can't be detected but they did in China

If anything, I hope the scandal falls hard on ISU's head and their cheating judges and everyone related.  :sin:

Yeah I already don't care, I just want him healthy, that was enough already. I can accept anything but not another injury (or other health issues)

Hmm he still has one practice before the free skate, I don't see it's unusual he's skipping one practice. He has had very busy days and the tiredness was already visible in the short program yesterday.

Yuzu's group starts 11:20 Beijing time. The thread is already open but it's still unpinned.

Oh okay great! Thank you 😊

Yes, I don't dismiss good chances of him getting a medal or going relatively clean but there are also high chances of a not good skate too, especially if he is injured or still mentally not over SP. we should always remember there is always a "tomorrow". Bad luck happens, he will be lowballed, etc but he already has achieved everything too. Yuzu wasn't planning for Beijing himself. His goal is something else and based on fate, he should still work on it. Because honestly, his goal is something too big and the struggles to reach something that high are always huge too. He will reach it but not now :-)

Reddit is a funny little place. Y'all are just mean.

Planet Hanyu is a safe haven but I sometimes go to Reddit too. I just hide every post that is unrelated to my favorite skaters and downvote the crazy comments. The atmosphere there is at least much better then GS/FSU, where I have refrained myself from going to, except for Yuzu's fanfest occasionally.

...nothing is set in yet but I am mentally preparing for Yuzu's withdrawal atm (even if his injury proven to be minor (ie. if compared to, say, Pyeongchang, it's a lesser injury so he might decide to brave it and skate in the FS. Again, this is if he were just as stubborn as in earlier seasons. Today's Yuzu might decide differently)). There is still another skate (Worlds), quite likely he is still going even after this season too (on the condition that his physical health holds up ofc).

I really don't mind if he decides to withdraw from Olys, media's reaction be damned, he can and should do as he pleases. (And pox upon NA media and everyone else who ridicules him for this >:()

So apparently Yuzu not doing the TE was not his decision but JSFs. He also delayed his arrival in Beijing accordingly.

Can I be honest? yes, I think he got injured on that fall. But I don't think he will WD, he will take painkillers. I think it will affect his skating for tomorrow though. Hence, I'm not expecting much about his ranking.

re: reddit — there are a few okay spots on reddit that I frequent — FS reddit is not one of them :animated-smileys-halloween-012:.

Also I didn't expect the TE to be this drama-riddled (Also Yuzu not in TE was actually JSF's decision? Hmmm... 🤔). Agree with the comment that said that it's likely a medicine issue instead of straight up doping (an OK medicine in Russia but not OK anywhere else). But will they really recalculate the scores though? Because my gut feeling says they'd just bump everyone up the standing 😒🙄

Where is this info coming from?

Here, when asked about the timing of his arrival, he said that he decided after the team was announced. Seems like they did not ask him.

This post has been tagged by robin as [NEWS].

This is just my twisted standards but any injury Yuzu has that isn't as bad as Rostelecom 18 injury doesn't register as an injury in my mind 🤪, so yeah the ones that he can skate on with a painkiller? Just an ouchie 🤪🤪 (and yeah ofc his skating will be affected. How affected it would be (ergo would it be worth the risk), is anyone's guess...).

(To be clear I don't want him to push for it all the time, especially not on this stage of his career. Don't forget to take in the long view, Yuzu :YuzuPooh::YuzuPoohSad:)
