I know he said he was adding 4A into the program, but it's still hard to believe he actually did it!

 

And he waved at the camera at us during the victory lap. He's always aware of all the people watching on TV.

Although one DOES have to wonder, which is really more important? You make history both ways. Of course, what he's really aiming for is winning the 3rd Olympics WITH the 4A, and then retiring. But the reality is, there are no limits to ambition, and to imagination, and so Yuzuru has always strived to go forward and forward, record after record, history making after history making... I believe in his choices, and if this Nationals are any indication, I believe he can land, in his carreer, at least 1 clean 4Axel and maybe that's all he cares about. 

Man, looking at those first 4A attempts you can really see how much he's improved. Insane honestly.

Those aren't under his control in any case. If it weren't Nathan, it would be someone else. 

It's not like he can't decide not do 4A last minute at Olys. training the 4A has also clearly helped him rotate his other jumps more easily, and has led him to be a stronger skater overall. 

I wonder which path he will choose, a lot can change until the olympics. It all depends on how his training will go and how 4A will behave in the practices. Watching him is such a journey
