To me it sounds like their statements aren’t too clear... just from the translations, not that I speak Italian. I guess I just find it hard to imagine Yuzu actually joining a musical group‘s tour without them providing him with ice to skate on 😆 So it would just be practical for them to join faoi while they’re there anyway. I don’t think Il Volo being on a mini Asia tour excludes them performing part of it at faoi? 

 

eta: I guess saying „we‘re touring and a specific skater is going to perform with us“ sounds better as a promo for themselves compared to „we are going to collaborate with a skater on an ice show for one program“. Considering they said Yuzu won with their music, it seems they are trying to portray themselves in a better light here  or at least not everything they’ve been saying is super accurate.

But the invited singers at faoi always perform a bunch of songs, including group numbers, not just one song. So it'd be even better promo to say "we are touring with a group of skating champions". But they talked about "one skater" specifically (and didn't name drop him)

From translations looks like they themselves don't know that much so we can only wait.

But I don't see Yuzuru traveling across Asia just to be a special guest on concert.

I think is approx. like the flamenco promo at FAOI. I read some of what the Il Volo guys said and it seems like the promo with Yuzuru will be only in Japan...

What is this all about?

Sharing the Japanese TV segment (from Going with Miyaneya) shared by OP @kionmama6779 which shows the three Olympic athletes Daiya Seto (swimmer), Kohei Uchimura (gymnastics) and Yuzuru Hanyu speaking about their respect for each other.   Seto picked up the earphone bug from Hanyu>> Hanyu sends his support to Uchimura (he empathizes with the gymnast struggling with his injuries but knows he will come back strong)>> and Uchimura sends his respect back to Seto... thus closing the circle of mutual respect.

I just scrolled a bit through the comment section of Yuzu's Torino FS video on YouTube.

There are multiple new comments like:

 

"Google Search brought me here. Wow, he is incredible!"

"Who is here because of Google Search?"

"This is the performance that has made me decide to be a fan."

 

This is really amazing. These two little seconds in the Google Search clip brought probably more people to the sport than ISU's entire PR actions of the last decade together. Kudos, Google

It's the same on Olys Seimei video and I suspect on many others I suppose a lot new fans were made because of those 2 seconds
