Omg guys..that NW9 interview...Yuzu thinks he betrayed our expectations

Ugh i hate framing in media uggggggggghhhhhhhh. Like why the heck would you tell yuzu his fans "sighed" despite a high score???????

Edit: theeeeeere are so many other interesting questions they could ask him so that they don't waste his time and yet, they choose these types of things

He had another interview today?

Edit:

From this channel/station

Edit 2: more translation

So the fan reaction to the judges underscoring him gave him the impression that they (the fans) were disappointed in him? Oh that's so sad!!!

I agree with axelsandwich on twitter that the question was super leading.

Yes, the way the question was phrased was pretty misleading. What was Yuzu supposed to say to that ? "Nah, my fans were mad at the obvious bias of some judges"?  No way. He pretty much had no choice but to "apologize". :animated-smileys-angry-033: I hope Yuzu knows that fans were not disappointed by his performance in any way :tumblr_inline_mn41rkfu9v1qz4rgp:

3yr old was asked about what she's wishing to Santa for Christmas.

"Sparkly sparkly, twirly whirly! High high jumping! Twirly whirly! Kicking high and jumping! Here we go! Sparkly! Poohs, lots and lots!! He IS so COOL!"

Is it: "Hanyu Yuzuru"

I want to wish that too!! :snonegai:

I hope Yuzu was just cornered by the question and doesn’t actually think anyone was disappointed in him. It makes me angry that this question uses his own fans to make him feel bad. The thing that most fans want above anything else is for Yuzu to be happy, and we would never, ever want to be an obstacle to his happiness in the way the question is suggesting or in any other way.

What is there to be disappointed in anyway? That he made one mistake at a competition he won by 50 points? We’re far more happy to see him come out of the competition with functioning ankles to be concerned about that. Did the interviewer do any research? It should be dead simple to figure out general fanyu sentiment about this competition—we’re so happy Yuzu is healthy and seems happy, and the thing we are upset about is the judging. Even when he has a bad competition, we’re not disappointed in him, we are disappointed for him because we know he’ll be upset about it.

I hate to say this but I wish Yuzu would never skate in NHK again, it’s emotionally draining, he has tons of pointless interviews and JMedia treats him like that. No matter what he does it’ll never be enough.:sadPooh:

I hope he knows deep down his fans could never be disappointed

He looks so adult here....but what's that hair! It doesn't suit him.

His tie is almost the same colour as Origin 2.0

It's because he hasn't done any spins to mess it up all nicely like we're used to lol

Please spread!!

Fans are organizing a project to sing Happy Birthday to him after the GPF free skate

!Whether his performance is terrible or excellent, nonetheless the crowd should still sing Happy birthday to him afterwards.

What matters is celebrating his life and the fact that he is still competing. That alone is already worth cheering for.

As a fan who was there and sighed when the lower than expected score came out, I am so angry that our intention is twisted by the media that way. There is no way that we would ever be disappointed in him. We were totally enchanted by his performance and thought the judges would reward him accordingly.

I hope and think Yuzu would understand that our most important wish is his health. That is why the we all applause so loudly when Shizuka said it for us.

I think the fans in the arena should ditch the fairplay and just boo the moment the scores come out. Just to avoid confusion with the standing ovations immediately after his performance. Why bother observing the rules when judges completely ignore them?
