Why are they pushing/pressuring a 15yo to medal so much given the battlefield of the men's field right now... /sigh/

Karen URs a lot though (just isn't called for some reason)... judges / tech panel needs to call these things otherwise skaters will continue on with what they're currently doing instead of fixing issues.

I think the theory was that he might've thought about doing a 4Lz instead of 3Lz as his last jumping pass at Worlds and that's why he said that he felt he didn't have enough energy. But he never actually talked about it so that remains a theory.

Oh no... hope she gets well soon. She has a team of medical experts helping her with rehabilitation from her injury so I hope she takes it easy and heals up in time for competitions.

Torvill & Dean! What I love about this performance (despite not being versed in ice dance) is the way the program was choreographed. If you just listen to the music alone, without the visuals, it does seem repetitive (something Bolero as a piece of music was criticised for). But if you watch their performance it suddenly feels like the music is building up and up into a climax. I saw in an interview that Christopher Dean wasn't entirely satisfied with that performance despite getting a perfect score because he mucked up the ending pose. He was supposed to be lying on his side but instead he ended up lying prone to the ice.

Friends on Ice 2011... It's one of the ice shows Yuzu participated in 2011. The skaters with links to Sendai (Shizuka, Yuzu, Takeshi, Yamato) did a special number with some children skaters from Sendai. I'm re-watching it right now and I just realised Shae Lynn Bourne participated!
