  1. Are we gonna stream The Ice? (Says me, who is not even sure she can watch it... hehehe)
  2. Yeah, I guess so. We actually don't get a lot of news/updates with the junior men as opposed to the junior ladies because it's usually the ones doing quads (or have been reported to do quads) that overshadow everyone else... and I think that's why Gogolev is at the forefront in the junior men's right now - because of his quads. He's qualified to compete as a senior in Canadian Nationals now and will be eligible for senior international comps 2020-2021 season. Just in time for the 2022 Olympics.
  3. Question: Does anyone feel like there seems to be a big gap between the junior and senior men when compared to the ladies? We've got junior ladies practicing and landing quads and 3As while most of the more known competitive junior men have now moved up to senior level competitions.
  4. Yep!! From the 1989(?) film "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure".
  5. Maybe we'll get some cool retro costume from Patrick! (Don't fail me on this Chiddy! )
  6. I might be meme-ing too much, I'm sorry. But all I can think of is this (Source: unknown)
  7. Aaaay... 3A and Quads... ladies comp is starting to give me anxiety. Moa Iwano is also practicing 4S and 4F. Please stay healthy and injury free everyone.
  8. Height talk! I am now firmly in the 172-173 cm camp (well, I already was before since I trust Keiji not to lie unlike Javi /cough cough/). CJH is listed as 174cm and we can already see in their interactions during GPF'16 that he was slightly taller than Yuzu. Vincent is listed as 168cm so he either had a growth spurt or is wearing skates+guards because he definitely looks taller than Yuzu in that pic. Drew Meekins is listed as 178cm... so... 172-173 cms it is! By the way, I seriously blame Javi for all the confusion in Yuzu's height over the years!
  9. Not just over training but keeping quiet about injuries...
  10. Reading any interview about Worlds 2012 is actually very touching/emotional. I love his honesty and I'm glad he can still find humour in his frustrations. hahaha
  11. I don't know why I'm laughing when this is low key what I was expecting...
  12. From Sports Graphic Number 803 translated by Yuzusorbet.
  13. Can someone do that age app (where the app guesses the age/gender of the person) thingie on the pic? hahaha
  14. Remember that group FaOI picture where he had the towel over his head and everyone thought he was back to mushroom haircut? It was a self-fulfilling prophecy...
  15. Well, Yuzu himself has said that he'll probably never have a skate like that again (meaning Worlds 2012 FS). It was a culmination of a lot of things. The Tohoku earthquake and being guilty about having been able to skate while everyone else was suffering, being determined to live up to the title of Hope of Sendai/Tohoku, being injured (and hiding it) and trying so hard to protect the injured foot that he fell on the step sequence - the ensuing frustration after the fall, getting back up and cursing during the 3A-3T (LOL). I'm getting a bit emotional just typing this out. hahaha. It was a great skate but, in my opinion, it was the palpable emotion behind the skate that makes it the most memorable. For me, I wasn't even thinking about the character of Romeo - it was just him and his raw emotions that stood out.
  16. I'm sparking the height issue again but is one of them on skates? Because I remember Vincent as almost the same height as Nathan. Also... just found out CJH is 174cm .
  17. I've actually read a web article by The Guardian comparing John Curry to Yuzuru.
  18. I like the choice of Hallelujah but I wish the SP music was a little bit more upbeat to have a contrast. Dust in the Wind is bit..... But I do feel like he has issues skating to more upbeat music so whatever works for him!
  19. Video + translation of Javier and his parents talking about competition memories. I got really distracted by the cat. It's soooo fluffy

  21. Oh, he's really lovely to watch. There's a lightness to his skating and to his jumps and yes, beautiful lines as so often mention by the commentators. (Also, feels like Tatsuki Machida has been watching this program because I can see some similarities). I think they were the ones who said during the WC victory ceremony in Helsinki that Yuzuru lost to Shoma in the national championships? But yeah, I think they only do commentaries during the World Championships and the Olympics because I haven't seen any other BBC commentaries asides from those competitions. So, it would be good of them to either do research or if they couldn't be bothered then refrain from commenting on topics where they're not sure of the facts.
  22. He's in good hands with Stephane. Hoping for a fast recovery as well.
