  1. Daisuke.... what is that costume...
  2. I love the music cuts for this SP.. specially the ones for the StSq!
  3. Shoma's FS Turandot.
  4. Satton's SP "Sayuri" from Memoirs of a Geisha.
  5. Daddy Mura's SP at The Ice:
  6. Thanks for hosting! I'll come prepared with GOE notes next time... (I was kinda jotting them down during the exhibitions. hahaha)
  7. So... my unofficial conclusion is that he skates too fast. Which kinda makes sense since at 4CC he was a bit frantic during the StSq to catch up with the music after he popped to COD . H&L seemed to have always gotten Level 4 - has a slower melody and so he takes his time.
  8. Reminds me of Yuzu's wax figure (Javi's looks like it's worst than Yuzu's though...)
  9. Yes! You can really see his emotions and how he feels in the K&C. He doesn't hold back... you can see when he's disappointed, dissatisfied, sad, kuyashii (lol), happy, surprised...
  10. He didn't really expect to win anything. He just wanted to crack the top 5 so that he would maybe be invited to the gala and he could skate White Legend as a thank you to everyone who supported him. So being surprise bronze medalist must've made him so ecstatic. Also, wasn't there a study that people who won bronze are more grateful/happier than silver medalists? Anyway, those were innocent times... hahaha... Also, PChiddy said that even though he won gold, the one shining the most in that competition was Yuzuru.
  11. Is he doing a duet with Mao?
  12. PJ Kwong did a podcast interview with Takeshi Honda (at around 16:50) and he said that in Japan they still taught compulsary figures. So that's highly likely the case.
  13. I know what I'm watching later.. Found some youtube links but they seemed to skip part 2... For anyone else interested.. Part 1 Part 3 Part 4

  15. Yeah, when they took away anonymous judging I thought scoring would get better but I was a fool to believe that . Tech panel is very suspect as well. And this is not just Yuzu but a lot of other skaters as well (Chiddy should've broke 100 in his GPF'16 SP - I'm salty about this).
  16. I think I remember that Yuzu's StSq were constructed prior to a rule change for step sequence levels in the 2015/16 season. So he struggled to get to level 4 mainly because of that rule change. And honestly, I would give Chiddy a level 4 for his StSq always (unless he trips or falls during the StSq LOL). Now, 4CC SP... I'm not quite sure what happened here (someone who knows StSq scoring pls help... ) but wasn't judging all around all over the place in that comp?
  17. The 3A really is Jun Hwan's nemesis. (Yuzu, please advise your little mushroom brother like you did with Nobu and Kenji). Ye Lim Kim and Young You have caught the Tano and Rippon overload disease.
  18. Aaaaaaaaaah!!! I love tables and this 3F analysis is just .

    Music talk

Epiphany would be epic ... and not the movie version please
  20. That didn't stop Team Japan from being Team Japan of the Opera during 2014-15 season. On the subject of POTO.. my preferred Phantom is Ramin Karimloo.
  21. Mushroom comparison over the years...
  22. Yeah, that's why I say it's unfair to compare Vincent's first performance to Yuzu's worlds 2012 performance. And as I said before, even Yuzu himself has said that was a skate that he couldn't replicate anymore. I think Vincent's (or his choreographer's?) choice of music cuts doesn't do him any favours and is what's inviting comparisons. I haven't heard this much comparisons with Han Yan when he was doing Romeo and Juliet (it was mostly "awww... I miss Yuzu's romeo" rather than "it's really similar!!!") . As @xeyra said, It's the use of "Escape" for the final choreo sequence that really invites comparison since that piece of music isn't even from Romeo & Juliet but from Plunkett & Macleane (although with the same composer). I have a feeling Vincent is aware of this (how could he not) and is taking that risk because he feels that he will be able to feel and deliver a good performance with a music that he can connect to. Time will tell though because as we've seen, having multiple quads can lead to a lot of empty spaces in between jumps because of setup time and conserving energy. But the program is in it's early stages and still has room to grow.
  23. 1 photo and now we have mushroom fanarts...
  24. Yep! Suddenly, too many things are happening at once! Enjoy your vacation! Hope you get to relax and have fun (because Olympics is almost upon us).
