  1. What do you mean? I love Alina Zagitova and I didn't like the shading of her in the last Twit, which suggested she was not respectful of the Fed etc.
  2. The comment isn't very kind towards Alina Zagitova. Do you know who wrote it?
  3. So beautiful, so much understanding and feeling, though his costume could be better (but probably inaccessible then) and I wonder what a violin "thinks" of the damp and cold over a skating rink. I hope Yuzuru Hanyu can see this video. EDIT : @rockstaryuzu I thought about the violin thing, one don't see well the instrument he's holding but I remember a Two Set Violin video where they had ordered a $30 "violin" on Amazon, and tested it. The fanyu on the video may have used one such, rather than his own dear instrument; in this case the risk is lower.
  4. Who? Pooh-san? By the way, Pooh-san's dreams are just that : dreams for the future. Because he's waaay underage to marry.
  5. Some seem to have received the mirror in bonus for buying KOSE products. By the way, I suppose nobody will check if it really is a mirror, and nobody will mind because no one will take Yuzuru Hanyu's photo off?
  6. I have hopes though. Maybe not for a come back at the top because honestly, I have no idea if she can or not. But for her health. I think 1) she is better informed, health-wise, now than 2½ years ago; 2) TeamTutberidze seem to have better medical following now (but this is maybe the weaker point because still today, medical care in Russia appear to be of uneven quality); 3) I tend to feel she must be in a very combative state of mind. There remain the danger of the muscle memory method for someone with chronic bone/joint condition. Will Eteri Tutberidze and her team be able to tailor-cut a lighter but more focused training program for her, and this may become a turning point in their method for all their pupils if it succeeds? I hope so.
  7. The latter looks happier of this "marriage" than the former.
  8. I don't know how thing go in Japan but I doubt it would happen in Western Europe. What I hope is this magazine lose many subscribers, and nobody buy the issue with those photos.
  9. Yuzuru Hanyu's costumes as flowers : a thread.
  10. Oooh, thank you, in fact I had never seen this interpretation of Notte Stellata, and this choreo sequence of Let's go crazy after, he had found a music which suited perfectly the movements, what a genius!
  11. Of course I wouldn't want tabloid photos. Of course I meant a watering by him, or by her with his permission. And I really thought tabloids were eventually letting him in peace, at least in Japan. Very sad if it is not the case.
  12. From the only survey I know, in US in 2004, and there was still an omertà in most domains, a "flat rate" a bit under 2% of sexual abusers in all functions (with numbers enough to be statistically significant) giving access and some authority on children... Either teachers (public and private schools), coaches, educators, clerics... Only one category had a proportion twice lower but I don't think it was low enough to mention it here, nearly 1% is still enormous. I don't know if US have more or less abusers than such or such country, but I remember well these were the times when in artistic gymnastics, the US fed was flatly refusing to take complains into consideration, and I just happen to know it because I like the sport and followed some complaints. Now they have managed to focus public attention on Dr Nassar, and at last barred a great many coaches from coaching, some definitely, others not. This is why people must be aware of the risks and implement policies. There are many predators around children.
  13. I know even prudent people can catch it but this would mean : - either they had it when still in France and they would have entered Canada without test? Because with the number of cycles they do (PCR tests) particularly in North America, from what I understand, one remain often "positive" weeks after having ceased to be contagious; in this case I doubt they would have been let in Canada; - or they had it in Canada, with its low numbers? Not that it is impossible but... Maybe they said "they had CoViD testing"? I find nothing in French.
  14. Thank you! I have watched the Tohoku list and haven't seen Mone Chiba, so this year she remains in Junior? Maybe she was born after July 1st? Or did her results in Junior allow her to skip Regionals? I hope she is well, of course.
  15. And probably reproving energetically the unfair judges.
  16. Never underestimate Miss Kostornaia. Though I won't pretend I don't worry for her. By the way, I think we can now find out what happened in the coach split. Here is how I see it. Alena Kostornaia complained (rather legitimately, and she was certainly not the only one bothered, but she was the one who had the guts to say it) of having to skate on a rink crowded with too young skaters who couldn't follow the pace and prevented Senior ones to train properly, plus she had health concerns. As Eteri Tutberidze couldn't solve the problem, she got irritated against her pupil (no element to support it but that sort of reaction is so frequent). Whereas during confinement, other pupils' change of coaches and Sergei Rozanov going to Angels of Plushenko, sort of opened a window "just in case". Then, on July 17th, she understood she wouldn't be able to recover in time for Nationals and maybe later, and took the decision. She rang Sergei Rozanov, then Evgueny Plushenko, and spoke to her coaches, who were upset, probably misunderstood part of her explanations (the May plot thing), and gave her two weeks to change her mind. She was left rink-less. At the end of the two weeks, Eteri Tuteberidze, who had had time to build upon her griefs and seems to be a resentful person, sent the Instagram post. I wonder if people like Eteri Tutberidze, Evgueny Plushenko... who have grown without free speech and discovered it when young adults, are not misusing it out of excess of enthusiasm and confidence. But I really think Eteri Tutberidze should refrain from saying anything negative about a minor, whether student or former student; and even about a young major. She really looks so much less mature than her former student, though the latter is so young.
  17. It may be natural, but he may shave too, for instance if it itches with costumes. Nikolay Tsiskaridze does, as most ballet dancers I suppose, except of course in The Bright Stream where his take is on the farcical side, given his morphology, and he lets see his chest hair.
  18. Great! It suits her very well, and will be even better when practice have allowed her to skate it more "upbeat". And I liked much the sound of her blades on the ice. How I'm glad she can get a choreo by Shae-Lynn Bourne! I am sure Shae-Lynn Bourne is very pleased to work with her too, though doing it online and with a skater she didn't know (I mean, she had never done any program for her) must not be the best experience.
  19. Well, Grouchy Smurf hates yuzu (the fruit). And skating. And all. But he secretly lurks at night, when the village is asleep and Yuzu Smurf is skating on the lake under the Moon. https://smurfs.fandom.com/wiki/Grouchy_Smurf
  20. And Irene details on Tanabata deco (third picture).
  21. I confess I am not wholly sure he said it; not to speak of the accuracy of the translation if he did. The poster Hasn't answered yet to the request of a source.
