  1. @Joey would you please change Carolina with Mai in the warm up round I hope I didn't actually put Mai in my original predictions because I can't check on my phone and don't remember what I picked before
  2. Some comments from Raf about Nathan's training in the article and it seems Nathan had a cold at (and before) JO
  3. Hi @Joey please replace Chock/Bates with Sinitsina/Katsalapov in my predictions (the warm up round) Also, the nameless entry with timestamp 15/10/2018 18:27:31 in SA predictions is mine
  4. Evil quiz, trying to make us choose
  5. Ok here is mine I did not bother with forcing myself to choose one option because I know I don't have a single favorite and that I would never be able to choose one, and so I ended up with 9 programs in the no1 position, which is correct
  6. It is working for me
  7. Is the time over for SA? I forgot to submit my predictions Ignore me.. I got my dates mixed up as usual Also, the last entry without a name is me
  8. Yes, still happening
  9. I don't go to any other site that embeds tweets so I don't really know. You have the same problem on Firefox? it is not just chrome?
  10. I've been having an issue with embedded tweets in chrome not loading in the past two days. It started suddenly and I have no idea what is wrong but most of the tweets just won't load no matter what (some do). I know this happens when a tweet is deleted but that is not the case here as they do load fine in firefox. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
  11. Definitely the choreo sequence in Seimei at the Olympics. His smile and joy was infectious and I truly stopped caring about the results and medals at that moment. I still want to cry just thinking about it There are many others of course since I have a favorite moment in almost every performance . This one is special though
  12. I don't know anything about how the JSF works but at World's I was sitting beside a Japanese lady who is a huge Kazuki Tomono fan and has been following him for years. She told me that he has struggled before with getting assignments as a junior because he did not perform well at a test skate they did early in the season. I don't know which test that is but it seems to be the thing the JSF are basing their decisions on (or at least they used to) Sorry for the useless info but I thought someone maight know about this test skate
  13. Can this be changed to +5 GOE? using it as it is now feels like saying something is not good enough to clear the required bullet points
  14. Good, I thought she changed it and was ready to cry I think it is a matter of taste. I liked both her Cinderella and The Mission and I think those programs suited her. Maybe there is something better for her than that style but I can't really think of anything. I do believe that she is trying to be safe this season because of the disappointment of last season and I can't fault her for that. Her SP is boring unfortunately and she deserves so much better, but what can we do other than wish her luck
  15. Didn't she keep her FP from last season? that was a great program (at least for me)
  16. Adding to the above, posting was also very slow. After clicking submit I had to wait for more than a minute for the page to load again and if you reload the page the post appears twice. It took so long that I decided not to post anything at all during and after the FP. Though I do have a very slow internet connection so this might be a problem not many people experienced
  17. You can use http://skatingscores.com . They have all the scores in the same format and you can also check the individual judges scores
  18. I love both costumes, they fit him and are so very Yuzu For Otonal, the blue is beautiful and the design in the back is gorgeous. My only issue is with the front, which is a bit short and is not very flattering for Yuzu (makes it look like he is wearing a smaller size than he should) but it is not a deal breaker and I love it anyway. Origin is a piece of art. It is stunning, complex, dark and perfectly fits him and the music. Both programs have very different feeling to them and both costumes fit and accentuate that feeling brilliantly, which is all In can ask from any costume (hopefully some people will get the memo one day) I can't and don't want to pick a favorite because both are great for the programs and look amazing on Yuzu
  19. Actually, going safe with the SP makes perfect sense if he wants to take a big risk in the FP. Being clean or cleanish in the SP will give him a good cushion for his scores in case of a bad skate later and will also position him safely in the last group so his PC won't suffer for skating early. Yuzu's PC maybe the highest now (and I expect them to stay that way) but the earlier he skates the less generous the judges are and every point counts I find it really funny how we are all so sure that he will land his first attempted 4A and have trouble with the rest of the program afterwards. Our Yuzu really is a man of routines and predictable patterns
  20. It is hard to say but my guess is that if he did not add it at the beginning of the season he won't do it later so I pick Helsinki but I don't know what his real priorities are for this season and I could be very wrong. I am thinking that he probably wants to be at his best at Nationals and Worlds (his two home competitions) so I don't see him adding it at or close to either competition. On the other hand he may want to land it at home so that would be where he would do it

  22. Unless we get someone to secretly record him talking to Brian or anyone in English (which would be very creepy and please no one really do it), then we can't assess his actual language skills. Public speaking is the worst example to use in this case especially for someone who is already not confidant with his English. Unless he rehearsed his answers (which is not always possible since he can't anticipate all questions), he will be put on the spot and the brain tends to short circuit in that situation, at least that what happens with me all the time . I can converse easily in English in many topics but if I am under pressure to answer something and know there are consequences based on my answers, I find myself struggling a lot and my language proficiency regresses badly.
  23. No need to be angry we are just chatting here, and please read my post again since you clearly misunderstood. All I said is that we should be realistic. Don't go around thinking that he can't lose and don't convince yourself that he will definitely lose because of this or that reason. It is a competition and he does has things going for and against him whether we acknowledge it or not, which also applies to his rivals as well. I will always cheer for Yuzu and wish him the best regardless of his results because his wins are not what I like about him. I am not going to tell you the story of how I found Yuzu and why I admire him so much, I will tell you that no one respects him more than I do and I resent the implication that I don't believe in or trust him.
  24. It is not a lack of trust in Yuzu and more about being realistic. I am pretty sure that what you said just now is exactly the same thing Dai's fans said before Yuzu beat him, or Patrick's before he lost. The problem is not Yuzu, we all trust him to do his best and fight all the way but you can't deny his injuries and damage he accumulated throughout his competitive years. You can't deny that he is on his way out of the sport as he himself said that. You can't deny that politics does play a part in this sport. No one is saying that he will be beaten easily or that he will be pushed down to help others but we cannot also be so sure that none of that will happen and that he can easily win every time. So let us be realistic and not set our expectations too high. It would be good for us so that we don't get disappointed if things didn't happen as we hoped, and good for Yuzu since we his fans are not putting too much pressure on on him to always win. Let's just enjoy Yuzu performances and hope for the best, whether he wins or not. We are still lucky just to have him around and competing. Winning is not everything and winning is not just medals, it is having so many people love and cheer for you in a bad day as loudly as they would in a good day and in that Yuzu will definitely always be a winner
