  1. I used to think this as well but after worlds and GPF I changed my mind. Right now, I think that they are creating a dominant superior skater that cannot be beaten even by the greatest skaters. With he way they are scoring both Nathan and Yuzu, there is no rivalry anymore.

Hi, I've sent a donation just now.. Did you receive it?
  3. Any "excuse" to mark down that is not in the rules is invalid. No discussion.
  4. The ISU doesn't want Yuzu to retire. If he did, they can't use him to bring fans to competitions or to prop other skaters. They want him to continue skating at a high level so that when they put Nathan (or whoever the new chosen king is if he faltered) over him, it makes him look much better than beating a weak field. There is a reason Nathan is mentioned every time Yuzuru skates but not the opposite. There is a reason why the media never fails to mention how many times Nathan has won over Yuzu and how much the point difference was. Yuzu is being used to push Nathan, while at the same time his popularity is used to con fans out of their money. So, no.. The ISU does not want Yuzu to retire. They lose both the money and the narrative if he did.
  5. You guys are discussions Nats already while I am here drowning in worry and stressing about GPF and the really short time between it and NHK I wish I have your calm and confidence
  6. What is it about this time? Do we need to engage with our facts and video evidence again? is it worth it? Apparently Fanyus have a reputation of being annoyingly informed and difficult to argue with because we have facts and understand the rules
  7. I highly doubt they would ask him or even consider the possibility of him not being okay with it. This conversation here is proof that there is a big difference of attitude toward these things between different cultures and some people seem to be surprised by it. As for Yuzu, I think he may expect it after practice since it happened like that last time, which is why I think it is the best time since he is most likely to be prepared for it then.
  8. No fan said that pooh rain is bad. This is a different issue
  9. About the birthday song, I think that when in doubt, we should go with the safest choice. This is not about us or our feelings but about Yuzu, so we need to make sure we don't cause him any trouble of any kind.
  10. Anyone know if there is a cheer project for Mai? I really want to send her a message or a gift to help lift her spirit while fighting but I can't do it by myself. So,if you know someone who is doing something or if anyone here wants to help do something for her please let me know. she deserves all the the support we can give her and I think it will make her happy to know she has international fans who are praying for her health and happiness.
  11. I don't think that's how karma works. The skaters themselves did nothing wrong
  12. Can we please not use this nickname for Yuzu. I know it sounds cute but it is the nicknamed another fandom uses for a very despicable person and it hurts me seeing it used for Yuzu.
  13. I voted for CM and I really want it to be the one probably the only one who does
  14. Best news ever Youtube is the only platform that I can get stable streams on because of my crappy interenet. Having an official and legal stream on Youtube is a dream come true. I am even willing to pay for it if needed.
  15. Glad Nobu left that toxic place. Hopefully he finds a better working environment that will help him heal and achieve his ambitions. Unfortunately, things like this happen every where but in the end it is their loss that someone as talented as him has left. So, good for him that he is free of the stress, and let them chock on their own toxicity.
  16. Both programs are really interesting but need a bit more practice and polish. I thought I would hate the FD in the first minute but ended up totally loving the concept and the choreography. It's like watching a movie. I am really looking forward to the polished version of these programs
  17. Someone reaaaaaaaaly wants to go to the Olympics again Joking aside, I wish them both the best of luck. Whether their partnership works or not, it would be a good way to get more people and skaters interested in Ice Dance, which is something Japan sorely needs. It will also (hopefully) encourage other skaters to switch to Ice Dance and maybe pairs.
  18. Considering that I am using emotional impact as a criteria for the most beautiful jump ever, my pick will probably change very soon
  19. I need to know, am I the only one who gets really emotional whenever I see Yuzu's perfect 3Lz at ACI? After the injury and more than a year with no lutzs, I honestly thought that we will never see it again. I know he was jumping 4Lz at shows and that he did it in practice, but part of me was still very worried that it would not last. So, for me, that one 3Lz in the free was (and still is on re-watch) the most beautiful jump ever. It somehow became more real that he is healthy enough to not just practice it but to also have it in his program. I pray that this will be the last time I will ever have to worry about it or injury ever again
  20. Have you seen the panic and stress before and during ACI.. We don't need the Olympics for that
  21. I just informed my family that I will not be seeing them this weekend (we live together )
  22. The 4F is still not confirmed, until he or his team tell us, we can't really say that he is practising it seriously. Though I am sure he tried it before and I really really want that footage from FaOI What we do know is that he has been training both the 4Lz and 4A for a while now. His success rate with the 4Lz was good according to his interviews at FaOI so there is a high chance it will make an appearance this season. The 4A is still a mythical beast that we hear about, know he wants and will bring if he can, but we have no idea how successful his efforts are. My prediction is that he will bring the 4A if it is ready. If not, the 4Lz will be his new jump for the season. As for the 4F, I don't see it making an appearance anytime soon, though I am sure he will try it in the future. After all, Yuzu is ambitious but not stupid and he wants to win. He will not bring too many new elements to his programs all at once as it will definitely destabilise him and makes strategizing in case of mistakes very difficult. Anyway, we are all just speculating and all opinions are valid at this point, so lets not be to hard on each other for disagreeing. In the end, Yuzu will do what Yuzu wants to do and he knows better. I am personally very happy to just watch him skate. New jumps are a bonus but not really important to me.
