    All the t shirt talk got me thinking of previous products generated by OGM 1. I could never buy and wear a white commemorative t shirt - my children would have me sectioned - but I do have the post Sochi DVD - do we think they will produce one for the last quad?

    Handel - music for the royal fireworks- maybe as an ex because it doesn't have the kind of climaxes you prob need for competition. I really want Zadok the Priest but that is all climax - maybe as an ensemble piece one day....

    I know - but pretty much anyone on the Planet could have roughed out a better idea - I know that outside competition he doesn't care but from our POV what a wasted opportunity.....

    I can't remember which but I think it was a summer show with some disposable costumes - the one where they ended up in just the yellow tshirts and trousers without the extra bits and he had a quad battle with Javier? So everyone was wearing something similar - whereas the xylitol abomination was some weird advertising designers .... dream??? Idk but given the person you're working with that's your best idea....?

    Absolutely - bring the family and evade the media - he can do that, we have loads of evidence of it. Ninja in and out as and when he's ready. I don't think he's contemplating anything of the sort - rehab and training I expect - and we will hopefully see the results in the autumn, if not summer shows - late summer shows if any I hope.......

    I have never understood the US preoccupation with ice princesses. As far as only liking their own stars is concerned, I think that happens in most sports - certainly in gymnastics US men get hyped up by US media in the run up to World championships and Olympic years, on the basis of very little evidence- and then get vilified because they aren't as successful as the women, as though there is some god given right to the top spot. US tv commentators are just as biased in gymnastics as in skating. I've never understood that either- my current preoccupation with two Japanese legends aside, I have been a fan of Czech, Russian, Swiss, and once even an American athlete! - and that holds even when they have gone up against UK competition. I would never want Max Whitlock to beat Kohei Uchimura any more than I wanted Virginia Wade to beat Martina Navratilova in 1977.

    I never have understood the rules for ID - but it looks like it's headed even further into Judge like/dislike with no measurable athletic content - IOC ...'no thanks, lets have some more acrobatic skiing instead'.

    I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but that bit is just fluff- pressing the right buttons to get attention/avoid censure in places he wants to be quoted. The important stuff is what he's saying about the judging ( which needs no elaboration on this forum) but also promotion - he's right, ISU could have mobilised a load of ex champions going back quite a long way to get old fans re energised- I know because I'm one of them - 1976- 2015. We only need to be reminded - what am i? - trash bag pants, on only the second online place I've ever posted on?? I'm not the only sleeper figure skating fan out there.

    I missed everything but pairs free - real life has been horrendous this month and isn't getting any better. Sorry to have missed Wakaba, and Katsuki, and Mikhail - had a look at Nathan on YouTube - if he'd been wearing spandex I'dve thought I was back in the 80s - he needs half the rink to set up those jumps - just like boitano. Couldn't bear to watch Boyang 😭.....come back strong next season.
