That's ridiculous and hugely unsustainable, environmentally and financially. I think as the number of possible Winter Olympics venues gets smaller and smaller in the next few decades due to global warming, they will need to change something soon. They're already having a hard time finding countries/cities to want to host the Olympics; that number is only going to shrink as countries become unable to, or don't feel they gain much from it, anymore.

mm, it seems like you have to pay to vote, and you can vote as many times as you're willing to pay? didn't think i'd find a judging system more corrupt than figure skating (jk, jk)...but still, this form of validation seems very...fake and unhealthy. JMO.

Yeah that's why you have to dry the blades down (doesn't have to be 100% dry bc usually there's condensation, but mostly dry) with a towel right after skating!

I wipe my skates down with a towel and then put the soakers on until the next time I'm skating. If you put the soakers on before you wipe down the blades, they could rust.
