    Lol, maybe they'll make Chinese Nationals in Beijing and act as the test event instead, if no international events make sense. That means no one (except the Chinese National Champion...Boyang??! ) will suffer the Olympic test event curse (the winners of the last 3 test events were off the podium at the ensuing Olympics). Although that's a curse with a short history (Plushenko won Europeans and then the Olympics after in the Palavela) so who knows

    That sounds so sad I know any retirement is sad, but she has been so successful, especially in that cutthroat field, and exceeded so many expectations. She should be proud of her career! Too bad about the health problems, I really hope she gets better. It sounds serious

    you know i wouldn't be surprised if they were gonna give it to yuzu, but then bc of all the fans (whom they perceive to all be fanyus, of course) hating on it ari decided to give it to nathan (along with pre$$ure from nathan's team/fed)... LOL. goes to show how legitimate this "award" is

    Yup, if for some reason we can't stream CiONTU, we have lots of other videos not owned by TV Asahi etc. that we can stream.

    I hope they leave. Most Japanese companies probably won't because Yuzu isn't their only skater (and regardless figure skating is SO popular there), but I hope SOMEONE out there stands up against ISU's corruption and injustices, gosh.

    I think the hypothesis on the street was that it was meant for Yuzu, but at the last minute someone and/or agent(s) intervened. That's...why the description was clearly written for Yuzu, and of course they can't change it now, but had to hastily write up awkward bios of each skater to make things "fit" ...

    We'll ignore it anyway! Let's watch CiONTU instead of the awards at the same time. In a week. If we need to, we'll fill it with other Yuzu content!

    Make no mistake, Nathan and his team DO ask for all of these accolades & media attention...I'm sure it all happens (mostly) behind the scenes but he isn't represented by a famous sports agency for no reason, and the NA/US newspapers aren't extolling his virtues because figure skating is so popular here. There's nothing wrong with that, most skaters have to capitalize strategically on their fleeting years at the top of the sport. But please, he's not sitting at home upset "oh no why are they talking about me so positively when Yuzu is so much better" pls gimme a break

    I wish we could just pretend it doesn't exist but the ISU actually minimizing Yuzu's achievements by LYING about them just feels like too much. But alas. I'll try not to outrage where they can see and count and it as "engagement" -_-
