Tribute to Nijinski is an original composition so he needed Plushenko's permission which he mentions he got so I doubt he'd leave Johnny in the dark, he probably talked to him at the same time too.

Well, looks like after hearing Nijinsky about 4593230 times during the summer ice shows we'll now be listening to it all season long as well 

Not that I'm complaining, not at all. It is beautiful music

I've always liked the music of Nijinski and I can't wait to see his step sequence. It will be intense, dramatic and just a wee bit on the mad side

No but really, Otonal is an amazing piece and it also has movement and vital moments to it! Johnny's cut is particularily flat, but I believe in Yuzuru's music matching up abilities c:

I've never actually heard the full piece before today, and you're right! it definitely has potential!
