Yes, his was the only Carmen I was happy to see but it's done him no favours. And it has been cursed music. I think all that 4Lz pressure was too much and he needs a real change of scene and approach to heal from that and maybe tackle that 4Lz again sometime.

Oh. Well yeah on the one hand I see the logic in that considering almost all of his students have had problems with jumps this season but on the other hand Misha is already a very good performer with excellent skating skills and can you imagine how much better he'd have become with Lambiel! A bit like how Jason's basic skills were so good anyway but now he's even better.

Well that’s true enough if it’s jump technique that’s the problem - Lord knows the Euros competition threads were full of pleas to Lambiel to get a specialist coach - but if it’s a mental confidence thing (because he manages the SP) maybe it would help?  I feel as though he needs a Tracy or a coach Fluffy or maybe a Stephane to be a sympathetic encouraging voice in his ear - but for all I know his coach is sympathetic.  I just feel sad for him.

I would say that Mikhail's jump problems are more between the ears rather than anywhere else... I don't know how much he needs a tech coach vs someone who can get him in the right frame of mind...

Ridiculous. They seems like idiots who aren't even sure of their selection criteria. Sad to put athletes in that position. Mostly because of the awful lobbying of someone. Sad.

 

I bet in a few days we will learn that there will be a test skates. As if the whole season wasn't enough.

Wasn't another that Raf wanted him? People on Twitter seem invested in the Orser idea, but that won't ever happen IMO.

I guess that the collaboration with Raf didn’t quite work out for Misha. Or for both of them. 

Raf would have been a better option, that’s certain. But that’s pretty expensive. 

Brian would appreciate working with Misha too, given he has quite an experience of setting a lip right. But... not happening.

Totally conspiratorial, but I won't be shocked if Eteri and co are uploading those vids on IG now to ensure the RusFed knows she's capable of delivering and is recovered...
