I rewatched it on YouTube. Her Biellmann is missing too. I wonder if she has an injury or is just feeling unwell today. Her mother was not her usual jubilant self in the K&C. Even when Elizabet has a difficult skate, she usually puts on a happy face for her.

As a bangs wearer myself, I have to say that Mai has truly exceptional ones!

I have a question. Only 5 ladies got level 4 on stsq: the americans, one of the canadians, and Miyahara.

I don't understand stsq. Can anyone who does, justify that for me, please?

 

ETA: I didn't initially count Miyahara.

I approve of tough technical panels. But across the board, please. For everybody.

And satoko skates last again!!! she certainly has the luck of the draw.

Hanul did such a wonderful job.

Mai could change her layout and have the BV to challenge Zagitova. That unclear edge is debatable, unlike Wakababy's, which is pretty obvious.

Japanese girls slayed and finally a clean SP from Mai. I would give her higher pcs, and 70+ overall. The ! on her flip though... I should watch her 3F more. 

Satoko skated best performance of this program. She looked more relax and her jumps were better today. That 3lo was the best (and rotated) that she land this season so far. The lutz were clearly UR and I'm glad they called it. 

Kaori skated more tentative today, but she landed all stuffs so its good. 

Very good performance from Dabin, Hanul and Alaine too.

I feel so calm while watching this event, maybe the tech panel actually did their job and the pcs didn't go wild, unlike Euro  But again, I can't with J1 who gave Satoko 7s in SS and perfomance

For the past I don't even remember competitions this season, it seems to me the 1st placer in SP has always skated the FS last. 

I love how Mai and Satton use their arms. I watched them again, and... Well, I think Mai should have gentler music because she is a soft skater, but her lines are so lovely. Satoko has such fluidity. I hope she is working on her jumps still, because I think they have improved in the last few weeks.
