Miyahara got UR call on her 3Lz, and was lowballed on her PCS. Strictly on PCS, can judges really justify that she is not on the same level, if not better, than the Europeans ladies?

Mai got ! on her 3F, I am not sure that's justified. And her PCS is only .3 pts than Kaori. I'll take this one, just this time. Mai's Libertango does not really feel like a tango to me, although it is better than the other Libertango we have today.

I think overall the judging is saner than the judging in EU champs. It's low, but that's because EU was hysterically high.

European and most of the comps this season tbh (not just for the ladies)

The system changes next year so they're all just going crazy with scores... that's my theory...

I think she is doing the same thing with Kaori she did with Zijun - mark her low as hell when competing against Elisabet and marking her pretty generous, when not competing against Elisabet. I expect her LP PCS to rise, as Kaori clearly showed, that she is no direct competition to Elisabet, as her SP scores are a lot higher

Yeah, but lowballing isn't exactly how you balance that out. And J9 just didn't like anyone (even Lilbet didn't get that much of a boost relative to other judges). 

I mean call the URs if you want, but Satton should avg in the 8.75-9.25 range, at least for IN and PE usually.

J4 also kind of lowballed every element Kaori did apart from her first spin. Only one giving 1s to everything. Plus lower PCS too.

 

J4 is AUS judge.

I didn't say they make a correct judgement on Miyahara's PCS. My question "Strictly on PCS, can judges really justify that she is not on the same level, if not better, than the Europeans ladies?" was meant to signify that I too, think they didn't give her the PCS she deserved. Was that not clear?

Wish judges and their respective feds have some integrity when escorting a soon-to-be-changed system out.

Don't worry-I'm not directing it to your comment specifically. Just venting my general frustration at the judges, especially the ones from other events. =) Yes it's saner than EC, that much is true.

To me, the top 3 pretty much went as I expected. I didn't expect Mai to place ahead of either Kaori or satoko, but all 3 did fairly well, meaning no falls .... although that is never Satoko's problem. I hope they sweep the podium.
