Kovtun should not have come but at least they're smart to WD him now.

I honestly don't get the insistence that Boyang should skate, with both sprained ankles now?! What on earth.... :14066882: And if he falls badly, and the likelihood of that increases when a skater is injured because they're not in top form, then what Chinese Fed? Guuuuh.

That's the Chinese Fed in a nutshell? You have to die before you withdraw?

Sigh. They kept Hanee too long on the ice last season too, but I kind of hoped they learned something. Apparently not.

Well, everything crossed that Boyang managed to just push through and not worsen his condition. Frankly, and I don't mean this in any bad way, not qualifying for the GPF seems like a much better option for him right now.

He should wd. Health first. :tumblr_inline_ncmifiE3IT1rpglid:

What...Boyang, please withdraw!!! 2 sprained ankles?! Don't aggravate your injury! :sadPooh:

This GP is cursed anyway...no point pushing yourself this hard for this competition. :sadPooh:

About FS start order: LOL did the first group forget to draw? I know it's statisticaly possible to have that particular draw, but still:biggrin:

I'm not surprised about Kovtun at all. I hope he has enough time to get better and be in decent condition for Nats.

Now, Boyang, why are you still going out there and skate after you've sprained both ankles and you've obviously still not well? :sadPooh:  Wouldn't be better to drop this cursed gp series and let yourself heal? But of course I'll pray for you cheer on you.

I hope he's not really being forced to compete by his fed and it's only his own stubborness:tumblr_inline_n18qr5AMus1qid2nw:

And Jackie Wong saying he needs 4S and 4T to be into the final...well, I don't think going into the final is the priority anymore. Qualifying for the final and being unable to attend because of worsened injury would be worse. Or making the injury so bad it can compromise the preparation for Olys.

I wonder, will be the GPF have more injury-related drama or the skating gods will end it here?

...*mutters something like welcome to China in chinese* I hope that Boyang gets enough rest. I think the main drive is just that he wants to prove he can qualify for the GPF, otherwise I'm not sure why he's doing it (the boy's also got a stubborn streak too eh?).

I decided to rewatch Nathan's SP and Yuzu's GPF LGC, but this time only looking at the legs.

Since I don't skate, I find it difficult to judge the quality of the skate and I know I really enjoyed Nathan's Nemesis...

But when I was looking only at the legs, the difference is so apparent    Nathan's upper body movement made his skate very enjoyable to watch, but figure skating should ultimately still be about skating...how do those 2 performances only have a 3 point difference in PCS?

*Boyang injures one foot*

Oh well, he has two feet, right? Can't he just favor the other one to make up for it?

*Boyang injures both feet*

Oh well, uhhh.... OK so we ran out of feet now, but how about he just change one of those quads? That should do the trick, right?

yeah sure, why not, sounds like proper logic to me

I'm not ready. :13877886:May the skating gods be merciful today and protect all the skaters.
