[2017] GP Skate America (24-26.11) - Practice, Fluff & all the In-betweens + Gala

Featured Replies

ice talk talked about Boyang briefly. Of course they couldn't refrain from some shade throwing (Adam Rippon is certainly a better skater than Boyang Jin (when talking about Boyang, Voronov and Nathan).

It's not so much what they say (Adam is indeed a better skater than Boyang) than the way and intonation Michael Weiss used there that bothers me ..

Also what happens if Evgenia skips GPF, but Ashley places first and Polina second with a score higher than 209? Will Wakaba still be able to go?

Somehow I don't beleive that Ashley can score higher than 209... She usually peaks later in the season.

ignore all UR and give her PCS well over 70's. it's quite easy actually, as she rarely falls these days

I'm quite torn on Ashley, I usually enjoy her performance despite the errors and I like her so obviously I want her to do well but... I want Wakaba in the Final :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid:

Even at SA she didn't get scores above 200 previously... But this is unpredictable/crazy season so I don't know anymore...

oh don't get me wrong, I really really like Ashley! She is as a person my favorite among all competing ladies skaters right now, and I enjoy her performance skills immensely and think she totally deserves PCS to be over 70 if Alina is getting 69 etc.

it's just that I still would like to see fair judging, which means UR called etc. And I really hope, that Wakaba makes it to the final!

"You just keep adding in new stuff..." Sounds ominous :P

I think that poster looks creepy. Whoever does marketing for USFSA needs to be replaced. Their "Get Up" campaign has been the subject of much ridicule.

Lol, that is a terrible picture of Nathan. Is anyone going? I'm debating whether to try and go on Saturday for Men's FS, but it'd be kinda expensive, I'm in NYC, so I'd have to take the train. Not sure if it's worth it, this year's Grand Prix has been a shitshow, not sure I could take more "surprises" at this point...
