you have to excuse my attitude against the shade throwing and biased judging because i'm so sick of that shit

like, these nameless nobodies (like those icenetwork people) don't have anything better to do other than diss other people who are at least competing with clean technique and honest hard work

and then isu only applies the rules of fair judging when they feel like it

UR, pre-rotations, cheated take-offs, wrong edges, etc. only get called selectively

different skaters get different treatment

isu judges don't judge fairly

it's not that they're incompetent

it's because they're biased

they should call out the wrong edges, UR, etc. for ALL skaters

instead some skaters get rewarded for wrong/bad technique and have over inflated PCS due to bias

i'm not the only one who's been saying this

anyone with eyes and a conscience can see this

it's because of shit like this that made me stop watching skating for a long while

and people wonder why figure skating isn't as popular as other sports

yeah well maybe skating fans are sick of getting high blood pressure from watching unfair bullshit

The scores these days really make me wonder whether judges have eyes at all, and all these crazy PCS scores based on a skater's reputation just make me sick already :tantrum:

Sometimes I wish I could be blissfully unaware of how scoring works because I've been constantly bitter ever since this GP season started

A lot of people seem to think the judges are, consciously or unconsciously, applying the current CoP in the spirit of the old 6.0 system.  Maybe we don't need new rules but a clean sweep of the judging panel if this is the case - new judges for a new system.  Impractical I know but in an ideal world...

Also, while we're daydreaming, a little accountability would be nice......

I read somewhere that one of the big Japanese electronics corporations was trialling a scanner that could measure the technical quality of a gymnasts performance with a view to trialing/using it at Tokyo 2022.  If it were to work for a gymnasts tumbling passes it could be made to work for a skaters jumping passes....

LOL i modified the picture from a small cartoon picture my friend sent to me on my phone

it's a cartoon llama of sorts...?  i'm not too sure

but my friend said that the expression on the picture looks like an expression i often make

so i use the picture as my phone profile pic

and then transferred it here to use on planet hanyu too

if not for the fact that figure skating is so beautiful and that there are skaters that i like, i won't bother watching because it annoys me so much every time i see unfair bullshit

and there's nothing anyone can do about it because the corrupt judges control all the scores

they put whoever they want on that podium

especially with the new scoring system coming into effect next season, it's gonna be even worse

they changed the system just to give more power to the judges

this is why watching sports with more fairer scoring (eg. tennis, basketball, swimming, etc.) is more relaxing

those sports don't depend on biased judges

if you score the goal, then you score the goal

swimming has electronic touch pads that record the times

no biased judging involved because it's the machine that calls it

I do like how you didn't include football in that because referees are human/incompetent/on the take every single week, depending on who you ask. But then that is one sport that refuses to use video assistance, and the referees are basically evaluated and reviewed by, well, well, referees, so...

Maybe I should get an extra checkup done every year, my blood pressure must seesaw all over the place.

But I dread the new scoring system, too. Yes, please, make it more transparent by introducing more subjectivity for the GOE range, bravo!
