....Mishin, seriously, I have rinkmates who are Radionova fans and even they didn't think she should have ended up as no. 3.

Whatever it is, I would say I want some, but I want something to relieve my salt, not amplify it.

Seems like you need to look somewhere else bc Mishin's salt comes out of nowhere

omg J1 didn't just give mai 7,00 of her IN :free-fighting-smileys-156: :animated-smileys-angry-052:

omg, if I remember correctly, he is the one in Javi's team? that guy???

Holy **** The PCS scores he gave to all Japanese ladies are criminal...look at the difference...

I'd like to ask you or to the others why following you JSF is pushing so much for Shoma, when Japan already has a man well capable to podium at the main international events and OGM, and do not push so much for the ladies, one of which, if scored properly, could land easily on those podiums as well.

probably because he is not the man JSF wants:slinkaway:

My heart is broken when looking at all the 7s J1 gave out to the Japanese ladies...

Love the expression in the first picture (top left) Judges, how could you not feel it...:sadPooh:

Haven’t had time to catch up with the thread, but just need a place to say that I’m so sad for Mai... Things went so unfortunate for her here. She doesn’t usually have ur problems, so I think her sp was affected by the collision in the warmup. Had she got 0.01 point more in sp, she’d be in 2nd group today and her PCS wouldn’t suffer so much. Less than 1 point more and she’d be on the podium, keeping hope alive for gpf. How come... :sad-smiley-046:

And I do think she was robbed, aside from the sheer misfortune. Radionova’s uncalled URs yesterday and how painfully slow she was on ice today were just more painfully obvious seen live... uhhh:tantrum:How come she gets called at CoR but is given lenience at CoC?

Anyway... Hope Cinderella has some magic again on her road to the Olympics, even though it’s suddenly a lot rockier than it looked before yesterday.

And of course, Wakababy was just amazing.<3I think her program was the best from today’s ladies. Alina was impressive, though how the judges justifies her PCS is beyond me.

I don't like this excessive backloading - I'm with the German commentators on this.  I know why they do it, I accept that they are justifiably playing the system as it stands, but it makes for unbalanced oddly weighted unattractive programmes.

are we even watching the same competition mishin? smh :shakehead: tell me that again after you see mai and wakaba's score thoroughly :ugly004:

I'm gonna take this to mean that Radionova and Zagitova are from the part(s) of Russia that is (are) to the east of where Mishin trains Liza. :party0035:

This is the best joke I've heard all year... Thank you for posting this, I really needed the laugh

re: backloading

IMO as long as the program still fits the music, I have no particular issue with it. Choreo fitting the music is the most important thing for me for a "balanced" program. There are programs with elements evenly distributed but the music could as well not be there at all for how bland/generic is the choreo. IMO Alina's FS has a good composition because the placing of her elements is still fitting the music, so I disagree with the German Esp opinion on not being "balanced".

re: Wakaba

She's a very expressive skater (and she's still so young!) with a distinctive style, incredible power and wonderful jumps and her team did a good job choosing her programs (I still have my doubts about some of their choices about layouts tho:shrug:). I really don't understand how judges haven't awarded her more at least in PE and IN in this competition.

re: Mai

I don't understand how on heart Elena can have better skating skills than Mai. Two judges even gave Elena 9 (one was russian, ok:dry:). I can maybe understand higher marks for PE and IN (though Lena isn't really my cup of tea, or at least this season's programs aren't), but on skating skills it's utterly ridiculous. I know, Mai skated in the first group and Elena was the last, but it's still annoying. :tantrum:

And of course the tech panel's selective blindness.:free-fighting-smileys-156:
