So, wait... basically if everything goes according to plan, GPF will be Yuzu vs. The Young Quadsters Gang...

I am not ready for this GPF... Without Patrick and Javi, the PCS gap might be closer...this is not good...

it is also funny that I just read the comment somewhere again about Yuzu only has quads and now he moves to the other category lol (same on the other side ) They should really categorize like this (Vincent, Shoma, Boyang, Nathan)  ((Jason, Mika, Keiji...) (Yuzu))  (Javi, Patrick)

I think we all need a prayer circle for Yuzu next week because the way things are going, I'm a little scared. Patrick and Javi out of the GPF. I can't even...

we are going to the next phase. CoR, SC, CoC (First GP phase ended)

Javi didn't qualify for gpf 13/14 either... the gpf comp before OWG in Sochi...

When the God is skating, everything follows his pattern/routine. No exception.

Be positive:sadPooh:(why am I crying?)

Mmmh... PCS gap was still there at CoR between Yuzu and Nathan, although it was smaller than it should be. GPF Will be the first time Shoma and Yuzuru will skate together. I have the feeling the judges might leave a liiiittle bit of space between Yuzuru and Shoma - if it goes bad, less than 1 point. If it goes good (meaning, the PCS scoring is kinda fair), they will keep Shoma at more than 2 points distance.

Maybe watching them skate one after the other will help them realize the differences in skating? The number of crossovers? The transitions? The depth of interpretation? The coreography? I don't know.

I still feel like, unless Yuzuru bombs (and he won't bomb at GPF, of this I am sure), he will still hold a gap between him and the other 5 at GPF.

well...2 points is not good to me... let's say it is 2 points gap. If Javi and Patrick are there, they might make the gap bigger, they need to insert Javi and Patrick into the gap.

I think they know the difference pretty well, even better than us, but they don't want to give the score difference.

Just watched Javi and Vincent's FS..."those are my relatives" lol Vincent got a lot of support

Need CoR SEIMEI now to recover...bye

What if Javi's and Patrick's absence have the opposite result? When the 'high quality skating skills' are showcased by less athletes, shouldn't they be rewarded more? Tbh I don't think Yuzuru will be the ONLY one with decent skating skills... (Also because I think Jason Brown is going to GPF? I mean, if he does clean programs, he can easily be silver after Yuzu at NHK, and I do hope he goes to the Final! "The Forever Quadless Brown" vs. "The I-have-five-quads-in-my-FS" skaters )

But I think he will be the best, of course, and I think it might show. Because as much as judges can give candies to Shoma and Nathan, them both, plus Boyang, have a looooot of work to do with their Free (and their Short too, but it's more visible on the Free). My dream? Shin Amano for tech specialist at GPF. Oh yes, please.

I wish that will happen in GPF. but based on the trend...

Jason has decent skating skills, but I don't think ISU will behave...I lost trust to ISU.

Yes, Shin Amano for tech specialist at GPF!!!:snonegai:

I am actually really interested in seeing Shoma and Nathan in the same competition. They are the two who are getting most of the love and I really want to know how they would be scored when facing each other.

They really getting a lot of love. I think I saw two to three ads on YouTube with Nathan already.

Yep. It will be curious if one of them will be rewarded more than the other. They both have weak points that the judges can exploit if they want to. Will it be a one vs. one between JSF and US Fed? xD If we get strict technical judging, Nathan would be the lucky one and Shoma would be in disadvantage. But if they act kind of stricter PCS wise, Nathan's PCS will have to fall behind Shoma. Which... I'm not really totally comfortable with, since Nathan gives me much more emotion with his SP than Shoma does. But ok.

Both Shoma and Nathan have one gold in GPF so far, right? Shoma will probably win the second in France. Well, it's no doubt on who the candidates are for the GPF podium already... btw, the same from last year, right?  (secretely hoping for Boyang to kick one of them off the podium... possibly not Yuzuru. LOL who am I kidding, they will never physically part him from that fifth gold medal even if the whole ISU tries to)
