Asian Throphy risks not being considered a challenger and that would suck so much (especially for singles' skaters who could have been sent to ACI, or Finlandia Throphy) if fields stays like this, no PB and no points for world standings. Just a good opportunity to get some comp experience, but that would be all I was sad for Yuzuru staying hermit till GP, but all considered at the moment Asian Throphy doesn't offer many pros, and there are some potential cons since at least in Japan it still isn't clear if skaters can immediately go back to training... I hope they can add a few teams to ID at least, so they get 3 disciplines meeting requirements, like ACI... Still curious to know about logistics pre and post competition. Of course they will get WS points. Singles at least. Quote 1.4 International Senior Competitions, provided there are minimum 8 single skaters, respectively 6 Ice Dance couples out of four ISU Members present respectively 5 Pairs out of three ISU Members. 1.5 Events, mentioned under paragraph 1.4, in which the Technical Panel (Technical Controller and the two (2) Technical Specialists) are from three (3) different ISU Members. (It is recommended that participating ISU Members, before entering their skaters, check with the organizing Members of International Competitions whether this requirement will be fulfilled). Singles at least. oops, I guess I was mixing up the minimum requirements for a competition to be a Challenger with the min. requirements for disciplines to count towards WS: I thought that at least 3 disciplines had to meet the additional criteria for minimum number of teams/countries (like ACI did), but apparently that's not the case, a Challenger only needs to be at least 3 disciplines + 10 countries overall. Well, I'm glad, thank you for pointing it out, I feel so much better now (well not about the no Yuzuru part, but about Kaori and Rika)

Melodie
4CC is going to be in... wait for it... Europe this year 😂😂😂😂😂 Why doesn't the ISU merge Euros and 4CCs together and call it a practice session for the WC or use it to replace the WC in Montpellier later on? 🤣 Edit and update: annnnnd it's back to TBA faster than a blink of an eye. This is so funny 😂 Edit 2: and then it''s back to Tallinn. So for the first time in history, 4CC is held in Europe 🤣
IceWings
Skate Canada is actually selling tickets to SCI. I didn't think they would since it's so late and the event is starting like next week! Lol. Also, Rika has withdrawn from SCI. I hope she is OK and is just prioritizing her health and aiming to be in the best condition for JNats and Olys.
