[2017] GP Rostelecom Cup (20-22.10) - Practice, Fluff & all the In-betweens

I really hope Mika will not bomb too much this time around, will be interesting to compare him with Dima in the same competition, also it's always a pleasure to see Misha and Deniss / Stephane! In lady's I'm mostly interested in watching Skyfall ))) Also looking forward to Shibs, Piper and Parsons :smile:

I'm okay if Yuzu doesn't do another WR with Chopin but starts giving us shiny new things for the Free... <3

Of course, he could also do a WR with Chopin and then do a Less-than-bombed Free that allows him to win against Nathan but give him enough kuyashii for later...

I just want him to show bits and pieces of the Seimei spirit, instead of spending 4 full minutes thinking "OMG I WANNA JUMP I WANNA DO BETTER I WANNA DO BETTER" and actually doing worse :laughing:

For me it's not Yuzu vs Nathan that I'm scared about, but the power of the federations if someone flips this into Japan vs USA. If Nathan deserves the win and Yuzu bombs, power to him, and both skaters deserves their wins, but the media play this time around good or bad might blow the roof off. Nathan didn't start last year as a top contender, but this year as a top contender and with already one international win over Yuzu it's about momentum and hype and a different story for all of us.

This is a big generalization, but since there is also a rivalry between the USA and Russia, they're probably not going to go too crazy rewarding an American skater at Rostelecom. In the past, American skaters knew they were not in USFS' good graces if they were assigned there, because they would get no judging favors and the time difference makes travel more difficult.

We know Yuzu's pattern. It wouldn't be surprising in the least if Nathan wins. But what he's trying to do is really difficult too... I guess my main hope is that we see a successful 4Lz.

Will Nathan become 2015 NHK Boyang...I can't wait...But it is too early to see 15NHK power though ...

I'm honestly crossing my fingers that we're going to see a break in this pattern at COR! Call me optimistic, but as long as he can mentally rally himself, I'm really thinking he can skate clean for both. >< and for Yuzu, skating clean = gold + WR most likely.

(Now I need to go pull my expectations back down again......)

I just want Yuzu to rotate his stuff even with a fall or stepout or shaky landings. Pops give me ulcers.

I watched clean Chopin live twice while haven't seen a clean or near clean Seimei in competition once (but I did see him land the first second-half quad at 15SC). I hope it is about the time:peekapooh:

I just want to save all the best luck for the Olympics! :0006:

If he's perfect now, my nerves will go crazy! :drama:

The broadcasting situation is just appalling. It seems Russian TV channels won't be showing the GP event... and Eurosport will only show a few.

Oh, this is not good... not good at all...I was always counting on russian channels,  Eurosport sucks when it comes to FS ... well, we'll figure out something, there is always our chinese friend ...damn

What? Why would Russian channels fail on us at CoR of all times?

Well, I hope they do find some way out - but so far there's no information. But it seems Grishin has let us know they will be broadcasting, sorry for the panic. So let's hope...

:fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed: I don't know what I'll do if I can't watch it after all :(
