January 21, 20224 yr Okay, i'm off to bed after spending an insomniac night. See you all for the FS on Sunday. Happy for Jun!
January 21, 20224 yr Once again we have JSF being the worst federation award winner. But also, whew, TCC bonus for sure. Esp for those telegraphed af jumps.
January 21, 20224 yr Junhwan stood out to me today. He was on fire. Kazuki was very good as well. They both deserved their high scores, and even more, imho.
January 21, 20224 yr How did it happen that all those inconsistent great performers ended up gathered in one competition Also, I love Jun but Kazuki should be first

Are you kidding me?! If 'TCC bonus' were a thing, Yuzu would never lose, ever. More likely, Jun got the benefit of having a higher ranking in the world standings than Kazuki.
January 21, 20224 yr Yes, Jun was nice but Kazuki shouldn’t score that low for the PCS. How to make internal peace with the fact that Kazuki is not Yuma so I wouldn't expect fair scores for him.
January 21, 20224 yr Nice day everyone Unfortunately I still have to work 1 hour. Here the link for the small medals ceremony and press conference
January 21, 20224 yr Personally, I thought Jun's performance was better than Kazuki's. It felt like he attacked it more, and the choreo was amazing. That long 3a setup will always bother me, but the rest was amazing. The speed was improved too. Kazuki did get the higher tech score. I thought their scores would be closer, but 1pt diff is not huge.
January 21, 20224 yr Kazuki's PCS was even lower at CoR for a similarly great performance, 41.00, sadly he is not treated well by JSF, and there his scores were held down even more because there was Russia's no1 skater and Moris with coach Eteri. It was still too low here imo which was still below 42. One of our "favourite" judges, Sasha Martinez gave him mid 7s and only 8.00 on SS. Jeff Lukasik, the Canadian judge was the only one who gave him minus GOE on 4T-3T and 4S too.

But unfortunately, he's not one of the JSF's favorite children.
January 21, 20224 yr Junhwan has easily my favourite men SP this season. The rocker-walley-double choctaw-3lze3lo< -cantilever-knee slide-flying camel part is just *chef's kiss"👌

Orser is actually a really good PR person. How do you think Yuna Kim and Javier Fernandez got to the top? Their federations? Only by their sheer talent (Fernandez with his weird Lz AND F jumps, Yuna with the absence of 3A AND 3Lo in her arsenal) when they have worthy competitors? Don't make me laugh. It doesn't work on Yuzu because of other reasons*. And it's not because TCC bonus is not real. (*Among them: between Yuzu and Fernandez, it is crystal clear who Orser preffered. If the comps have no Fernandez in it tho, I would argue TCC bonus worked for Zu for awhile just not after 2015-2016 season, bcz a certain wunderkid appeared.) I digress, tho. It's only my observation, which can be off.
