February 10, 20224 yr I was only able to sleep just for a few hours and will wake up in the middle thinking about what a badluck Yuzu had in this Olympic.I can't imagine what Yuzu himself must be feeling.Like someone said all the interviews were when he was fresh and raw from the emotion.I wish we can know he is feeling now after some time.Just to make sure he is okay and not feeling down because he might be thinking that he has disappointed fans .Don't know whether the jpn media will have another interview with him or not
February 11, 20224 yr Nathan probably is thinking about retirement because deep down he knows he will be exposed as an overscored jump machine the longer he continues skating. The judges won't favor him if the next aerobics of ice younger star pops up. He doesn't have the artistic aspect enough to become a veteran skater like yuzu. That in itself proves how worthless his OGM is. It's kind of like an aerobics on ice OGM, but with inflated scores. I would have wanted this OGM to look more like 2016 GPF medals the plastic ones, but what a shame it is real gold...
February 11, 20224 yr so, how are we coping dear satellites? my own summary of yesterday: The news about the injury wasn't unexpected one bit, but still sad. I had been kinda waiting for him to even WD entirely, I feared a situation where the more he waited the worst the pain would be... so I was happy to see him at practice, but of course it felt things were off. (and I've entirely jinxed myself, when I wrote in the SP thread that I was glad he at least was there and looked ok and I was counting my blessings. Danrthe Universe for clowning me) Yuzuru's ability to land perfect quads and complete an intricate, gorgeous program is as otherwordly as always. He even went for that friggin' 4A (and took all the weight of the landing on that poor foot), so the following fall on 4S, while sadder for me than that on 4A, is entirely understandable. That he was foot perfect on everything else is astonishing. And Nessie! So close to a full rotation, in such desperate circumstances. He really is astonishly strong. 4A was so pretty, take off so gorgeous everything so awe-inducing honestly (minus the fall of course). Injuries like the current one are sadly part and parcel of pushing one's body to human limits. If Yuzuru can find in himself the strenght and will (and ankle) to go on with it, I'll keep cheering for him wholeheartedly, if with one more additional trauma. If not, that's fine too, tho of course, it would be sad to see him so close to achieving his dream but stopped right before the finishing line... The Universe sucks. Big, BIG time. Why on earth can't it give Yuzu a break? Really threw at him everthing it had, the not skating in last group, a darn hole, a friggin injury (that also robbed us of 3A3Lo, darn Universe) and of course the s*it scoring... really, Universe, what the f*ck? I guess that everyone's biggest wish here was to see Yuzuru happy. Not necessarily with a medal, nor ratified 4A, but just happy with himself. It hate that we couldn't even had that not even close. Yuzu said he gave his all. Of ocurse he did, he always does. But it wasn't supposed to be "because literally his body couldn't take more" again, f*ck the universe That Yuzuru says he has not enjoyed these Olys at all - now that maybe is even more painful than knowing he's injured. Because it makes you really feel "what was all of this pain he went through for?" I hope that resting and getting some emotional detatchment from these chaotic few days can make him find something good in this expetience - these games weren't wasted. but also, these Games are so cursed. Tbh they even barely felt like the friggin OWG to me, everything jst happenend all of a sudden, and ended already. Gone in the blink of an eye. Well, I guess I should be happy for Jun Hwan having fantastic skates, Jason managing to end that high in ranks despite less BV, he too at the ripe age of 27. And Boyang finally redeeming himself after so many struggles this past quad. ISU jumping at the chance to humiliate Yuzuru: I wish them a pleasant please bankrupt and rot in hell The media circus that keep shoving in my face the one dude who reminds me how f*cked up the system is: same, tbh And so the "commentators" and "experts" and so on, they really sold their soul to the devil or they never had one to begin with. So screw them. I'm trying not to look too in depth at rescorings and protocols cuz don't wanna get even more angry thinking that, after all, even with all this bad luck, Yuzuru could have walked away with a medal (or more) if only judging was a tiny bit more decent. Anyway, now we can only wait for Yuzuru to take his time and heal, in every sense. I hope he can now take some comfort in the Nessie attempt being certified and in the moving outpour of love everywhere on socials. Other than form fans, from people he has worked for, and adimires, like gymnats, musicians, photographers... I'm pretty sure he conquered some more hearts around the world, not through being perfect, but being just human, and never giving up. These OWG may have gone in a completely different way from what he had imaginedand worked so hard for -- because of an cursed combo of unpredictable accidents and darn ISU - but he still has a lot to be proud of and I hope he has people telling exaclty this face to face, because sometimes he just needs the reminder 17 hours ago, Lynnie said: NBC's poster for NC's win. Kinda gives me wrestling champion vibes (not that I know much about wrestling). Reveal hidden contents meh, it looks so kitsch, is this US audience taste? For sure fits themanly macho man image they love to push... 17 hours ago, shanshani said: I don't think so, it's really common for people to WD from the World Championship during an Olys year even if they aren't injured. Plus there's a pandemic going on, and the WC is being held in a country that is significantly less stringent about it's covid measures as China I just hope he won't feel like he isn't "good enough" to go and should leave someone younger go, that would actually be awful. It's one thing if he can't compete because of injury or isn't interested, and another if he beats himself because of the worst luck ever seen. Anyway, I'm gonna blame JSF and their poor choices and the way they're always playing in the opposite team when it comes to Yuzuru 3 hours ago, yuzuangel said: I'M SO PROUD OF YUZU FOR HIS 4TH PLACE FINISH after i learned that's where he placed, i was just filled with so much pride and love for him. he didn't give up, didn't back down, even while sitting in 8th place and 20 behinds. Just got on the ice and showed the beauty and strength that's inherent in his skating, something that neither underscoring nor shitty ice could take away from him. He skated wonderfully under the unprecedented pressure of being a 2x reigning OGM in this media age where all cameras were on him and millions of fans were watching globally, all expecting miracles from him. And what he did was a miracle. Of course, that 4A, I was just in awe when looking at the replay. For many other skaters it would've been called clean. He really is pushing the boundaries of FS in his own way, and I'm just so glad to be a witness to it Rest well Yuzu, we will be here always a big loud YES to this. Amazing that in spite of so mant things working against him he managed to be 3rd in the fs. 3rd, with injury, coming all the way from 2nd group and rlative stinginess and rules selectively applied only to him.
February 11, 20224 yr One of the really fun parts of being American today is that three separate people who know I watch skating (but not much more) asked me at work, all excited, if I saw the American guy won. Just super fun trying to explain to my acquaintances that I’m not exactly thrilled with the podium…
February 11, 20224 yr Aaaw... Daniel. I'm glad he got to sit together with Yuzu and Jason. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

It shows an utter lack of class which is not surprising considering the source. I would be mortified to be portrayed like this, but I’m not Nathan Chen.
February 11, 20224 yr Yuzu deserves all the happiness in the world. I hope he recovers quickly. [NEWS]

I still can't believe not only ISU but also Universe throw him under the bus. It all hurts because everything started with a huge bad luck. As if fate also want to tear him apart too. I hope he won't be in gala, leave there faster. I can't tolerate watching him in the same gala as pets such as Nathan. I don't know how he will overcome this madness thrown at him, I hope he will be fine, both mentally and physically.

But he sounds so dispirited which makes me sad...): I hope all the support from his family/friends/fans will cheer him up a little bit
February 11, 20224 yr He may never skate on olympic stage ever again but he may be able to do Team Event like Plushenko if he decides to skate one last time at Milano. We never know. I thought he wouldn't come to Beijing but here he was. What we know is he might go to Worlds like 2014. He skipped in 2018 due to injury but we never know. I'm hoping his injury will heal soon
