Fancam FS.

I don't know if someone posted this already; it might disappear from youtube. I just shared it in the General Thread.

Thank you for sharing.:thanks:

I haven't read this here yet.

Nobu talks about Men's FS. Look at his tears.:tumblr_inline_n18qr5lPWB1qid2nw:

I found a translation under the video

This is summary of what he said about Yuzuru. 🗣

I think it was the best quadruple accelerator that I've ever seen , and It was Yuzuru Hanyu that was able to perform best quadruple accelerator there. Honestly, I watching him jumping and rotating, it was a quadruple accelerator that feels as good as I thought he would land on ice even from the side of watching. After that, he fell down in the quadruple salchow, but I was still impressed by his skating ,never giving up until the end. During the game I concentrated on the game and did not tear, but no sooner had it been over, I thought he did his best and my eyes were filed with tears.

Thanks to Nobu that he always stands behind Yuzu :agree:

I watched German Eurosport commentary yesterday and was glad to hear one of the commentators 1. praised 4A attempt and how close it was 2. said after Shoma's 4Lo it should be called which will put Yuzu in 3rd place then, and then he was pissed when he saw the scores that it did't get called saying it's been going on for 20 years already and there are still many things that aren't called.

Finnish figure skating commentator said the same, that it was the best 4A attempt she had ever seen. She was very impressed praising many times how great attempt it was. She also praised Yuzu's impressive performance and said that Yuzuru has a magic way of capturing the attention of the audience.

It really was impressive Free skate. I have a feeling we will be watching it over and over again and the true meaning and value of it will gradually sink in to our minds,

I mean how historic moment we just have been lucky to witness. CONGRATULATIONS YUZURU ❣️

savage Gandy-san pissed as hell

wish I could understand :animated-smileys-holidays-water-025:

There is a lot of talk of retirement here all the time and honestly Yuzu is still very actively attempting 4A and wants to land it in competition. His ankle is a worry for everyone but first than anyone else to himself, he will decide what he should do at any time. His performance in competition has not diminished at all, he is really at his peak and still doing groundbreaking skating. I will continue to follow him closely and support all his efforts

wow Gandy only rescores TES and based on just TES, Yuzu should have won bronze. We all knew that anyway. But wow Jun being overscored for 20 points though. Jun's PCS should be high but his TES is really a nightmare, he is a chronic under-rotator.

I've been thinking something similar, I feel because Yuzuru is so unique sometimes I forget how incredible it is the fact that at 27 he is still among the top AND trying to land the hardest jump  truly one of a kind

Exactly, I fully agree and tend to do the same. It's not very long ago Yuzu said that he is better than he has ever been, and I fully agree again. His 4A was so close and I am just dying to see Roncapu again. It is a masterpiece which just can't go down to history.

I have a feeling TTCT is now complete, the story has been told with the falls incoporated in it, like Yuzu himself so well put it,  and what a story it was  :clap:

THANK YOU YUZU, YOU DID SO WELL.

I can imagine he is worn out now, battle was rought but he won it, not in the forms of medals but the amount of appreciation, respect and love he has got from people all over the world is mindblowing. I hope he gets some comfort from that. His efforts were definitely not vain.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that he recovers well and when the time is right finds a new tune, which just begs to be skated, where and when it is up to him entirely.

I am very good at waiting

Remember, Yuzu got injured in 2017  because of the 4Ltz.

And injured again the same ankle in 2018 from practicing 4Loop or 4 Lutz.

After the 2017 injury, he doesn't jump 4Lutz in competitions anymore. He can still do the 4 Loop but BV is lower.

But who knows, after he gets the 4A fully rotated, he might go for 4 Flip to complete the list. Be the 1st skater to do all the quad jumps.

correction here: Yuzuru did again 4Lz in competition twice, in GPF19 and then 4CC20, so one year after the RC18 fall on 4Lo. So, at that point in time his ankle could hold onto both jumps. The GPF ones and the one he did in 6min warmup in 4CC were actually the best he had ever done.

idk if we'll ever see 4Lz again, it was superpretty but it makes sense to avoid it, with ankle already facing the load of 4A training. He doens't need more chances to get injured (sigh, cosnidering that his November injuury happenend woth the Sal....)

Maybe we'll see 4Lo again if he keeps going, but I'm doubtful it would happen togheter with attempting 4A. As we've seen, 4A is already draining and dangerous as it is, a clean programs with cleanish 4A would already be the greatest feat ever and no need to make things even harder for himself with a 2nd very draining and very dangerous (for his ankle) jump.

For now I just wnat Zuzu recovered. I also wish for him to be able to give himslef another chance to ratify Nessie, because he has been getting so darn closer... and also I wish for his last competition not to be one he didn't get to enjoy.

I had to hear Javier Fernández saying that Nathan is perfection and magic...

well... I hope it's only because he gotta pay the bills but tbh a part of me thinks that the super nice things he says to jpn media about Yuzu are just as much to pay his bills as his NC praises...:slinkaway:   no ok hopefully his Zuzu words are more sincere, there's room for sincere praises even when they align with one's interests

anyone got this vid or green room after FS? it was removed and I couldn't watch it yet:smiley-sad030:

@LadyLou Yes, now, in perspective, I understand that maybe he told what he was supposed to say... But after all of this nightmare, I have chosen to focus in Yuzu and try to see the programs with no comments :)
