I expected that Yuzu would be without a coach in the KnC. He probably made the decision to avoid covid and unnecessary contact but symbolically it feels right, too. He's been mostly training himself even before the pandemic.

As for (unqualified) commentators... I think Yuzu has proven himself enough. He's in a league of his own. Any commentator that makes it seem like he can still be compared to mortals is a clown and deserves no attention.

Tbh I'm at the point where I don't care about anyone in FS and their opinions anymore other than Yuzu. I'm tired of the circus.

Yeah, I agree it feels right symbolically. Tbh I think Yuzu has grown considerably as a skater these past couple of years, and he did it largely under his own guidance. Even though being alone in the KnC may feel sad to some people, I also think it's a reflection of his independence, his personal drive, his discipline, and his total mastery of the sport, that he does not need a coach by his side anymore to accomplish what he's been able to accomplish. He is in a league of his own, and honestly no one else deserves to soak up any of the credit.

Yepp.

Hence, this will be the first Olympics since 2010 that Orser does not have a medal hopeful.

I just hope Brian won't start his series of dramatic interviews (especially with Phil) right before the Olympics. It's the last thing Yuzu needs right now.

OHHHHH what a sadness and, since then, I hope  :smiley-angelic001: he can compete and I saw many others positive  and I just read that Javi "criticizes" Yuzu? and through whom? ALL and ALL of them remember their immense friendship and, there, I am really surprised (I will go up the thread to read it) and also the "anti Yuzu" take advantage of these Olympic Games to hurl their insults more  :thumbs down: and in this era NOTHING does sadly surprises me...

No! He criticized Shoma and praised NC.

This is every Fanyu waiting for Yuzu's arrival in Beijing: searching for every morsel of news, staying up until early morning, checking Twitter every 5 minutes, and checking the status of every flight from Tokyo to Beijing. :animated-smileys-disguised-062: :animated-smileys-cheeky-041: :mornincoffee:

What are the required hubs?

COVID-19 restrictions for the Beijing Olympics require overseas attendees to travel through one of four approved hubs: Hong Kong, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo.
