Poking in again to express my wish to finally have some kind of Yuzu news plz plz plz :smiley-angelic001:

Dunno why everyone talking about Nate lol

Spoiler

in the past I have already shared my opinion about his (lack of)commitment to improve as a skater or even challenge himself more technically, because his skating content even in terms of layout and combos is still basically the same he did 4years ago already, save a 4Teu3F that he could have introduced way earlier, but managed to get beaten to it by the dude who supposedly doesn't push jump boundaries as much as "the quad king" and doesn't even like the flip). E.g. Malinin but also Grassrl are a lot more ambitious even when we just reduce "challenging oneself" to trying new jumps and unusual combos. I know Daniel's jumping technique is kind of a nightmare but still. And he's been working on components too. Not saying he reached excellence or he ever will, but it's a kind of attitude that earns my respect

I have no idea which hour of the night ladies team SP happens but hoping to wake up to clean Wakababy who blew every4years-audience's minds away:tumblr_inline_mg16go8gBg1qdlkyg:

The way I dislike RusFed for the absurd scores and how they also ruined Pairs and their unrepentant attitude and the guts to cry "they're robbing us!"even as they are very literally robbing others... but I still gotta root for them to take team gold because US media holier-than-thou attitude as USfed does exactly the same is even more unbearable :umm:

(The best team gold will stay the canadian one 4years ago. At least most of the team was bearable and truly excellent)

Still, I feel that till Zu isn't there, the Olys are just not a thing :/

the way literally everyone and their mothers has been talking about him, jpn media (and not only) has been featuring him non stop but Yuzu himself hasn't showed up yet :knc_brian3:ngl, the jokes felt funnier 3 days ago, now I just wanna see him walking in Beijing on his own two feet. I've even readjusted my ambitions from 3rdOGM&4A to just seeing him plz skating gods

Because he’s not giving us any news - and for my part I’m perfectly content with that.  I keep repeating myself on a number of phrases, but this is probably the most important - he owes us nothing.  We are not entitled to know what his movements are or what he plans to do.  Whether the ice is ok, whether he’s timed the arrival to work with covid testing , last practice on main rink, whatever - he’s got his own timetable.

Yuzu bringing this mysterious madlad concept to a whole new level. well, ok.

I'm not nervous yet. A twice Olympic champion knows when to arrive, better than me.

I read a tweet from someone who had been listening to Channel 1 commentary (Russia) - Yags was talking about Yuzuru retiring (not sure of the context), and Evgenia was praising Nathan's SP as the best short programme in FS history,  The OP was really upset and was concerned what Evgenia's comments about Yuzuru's programme and skating might be - I think they are someone who likes Evgenia a lot maybe so they felt very upset.

I can't believe how (ex) competitive skaters do this - they have no power when they compete it would seem, then when they stop competing they just seem to get pulled into whatever the "trend" might be at the time.  Javi has said in recent interview how Yuzu and he are best friends, yet prior to and after retirement he was saying he couldn't consider him a friend but that he was friendly. It's not a good look Javi! It seems there is an ulterior motive when things like this are said.  Japan is a money maker for retired skaters of course....maybe they should just do their own shows in Japan with their own skaters!! They certainly have lots and lots of talent to pick from. (I'm just feeling a bit mean, and let down....I'm big enough and old enough not to be surprised, but I am, especially with Javi "too kind to be a competitor" Fernandez - dissing Shoma when he skated so beautifully today and was the best out there imo, and gushing about N who is actually painful to watch for many people and who admits artistry is not his strength!)

48 PCS - there is only a point to play with in reality for Yuzuru - that will not give him the advantage he needs (though GOE might - again he is going to have to be perfect, such pressure)

EDIT: Plushy Jeff Shae and Stephane can go to Japan ice shows tho....!! and Katya

How disappointing :14066882::13877886: I'm now having mixed feelings about her because I've always loved and supported her... :tumblr_inline_n18qr8XewT1qid2nw: I think Yuzu and Max Ambesi are the only people I can trust after all :grouphug:

I genuinely thought I would wake up to Yuzu having arrived while I was asleep but there's been absolutely nothing. Like, where on earth is he?

Ok now I'm actually feel like laughing, this is the ultimate Olympics experience, even before the main character appears

I wanted to stay awake for team event but I will just catch up in the morning I think, good luck to the skaters!

Idk what to say if he's really arrive tomorrow. And the only practice he got was right before the actual competition. Crazy! :dpooh:

It isn't an Olympics without us all collectively losing our minds before Yuzu even arrives

Perhaps we are living in the Matrix after all and there has been a glitch. That's why Yuzu hasn't shown up yet. :giggle:

But seriously, he should really show up today. There are two more days to go until men's SP! :smiley_hairpull:

The king is never late. The others simply showed up too early.
