But 4A is risky so it causes frequent damages. One non-ideal open practice after a big misfortune, doesn't define him. All I see in his skating and jumps is improvement. Even his consistency is better than before. I have it on the very best authority that the missed quad Sal cost Yuzu 13-14 points plus the mandatory lowering of the PCS by the judges for a “major error” meaning that he would have scored 110-112 points even after taking into consideration the expected underscoring. If Yuzu had performed a perfect short program, it would have had the potential of psychologically affecting the skaters that came after him which may have negatively impacted on their performances and scores and resulted in a drastic alteration of the standings. So yes, I totally agree with @Mary_kyo. Yuzu belies his age and injuries and is, as he has said himself, in the best condition of his life. Let’s just wish him the best skate of his life today and look forward to an amazing entertaining performance in the free.

ISU doesnt do anything about ROC therefore further exposing their corruption. This way no chance of USA or Japan getting gold. 2. Yuzu at least gets ratified 4A or withdraws 3. Shoma wins gold. Of the remaining contenders I root for Shoma the most because he just seems to take the gold the most lightly. Idc what Japan will think or how he will get scored later. I know it wouldnt be worse than Yuma being the youngest OGM. The way Yuma is scored here is worse than Nathan from 17/18 season. Yuma actually scored higher in the sp than Nathan at Saitama with lower bv. He is scored as if he was Yuzu level now. If he wins gold or silver his scores will be massive going forward surprise attack Boyang gets gold on home ice I kno it’s 99.9% impossible but there’s still .01%

February 9, 20224 yr I want free skate happen already just to stop feeling sick. Knowing nothing is the worst. I want to start moving on whatever the result is... And whatever it is Yuzu will be fine, I believe in that absolutely. Frustration and all that is normal, but he showed already many times that he's a tough cookie... (just please let him stay uninjured, i won't believe universe can keep being so cruel for its best people...)

February 9, 20224 yr So it was Kami, just a teenager. This will be a huge scandal for Eteri and RUS. There goes the dreams of a young talented teenager.

Skaters' actual athletic peak would be later, but the problem is they accumulate injuries/are outcompeted by youngsters who learned quads at a younger age due to changes in training regimens. That's why Yuzu's longevity is remarkable.
February 9, 20224 yr Anyway Russian drama with Valieva? Jesus, i can't care less now, but in a few days I will bring my popcorn probably 0.0

Edit: In Hanyu's case he sure had lots of injuries.. but he developed his quads through the years.. and he doesn't drink, which I think help alot for athletes (he's allergic to alcohol, plus he didn't like how his body felt when he drank his first Sake when he reached 20yrs old).

A lot more sports outlets like the one below should report on it tbh.
