December 27, 20214 yr I think what most people tend to forget is that elite athletes live on painkillers. There is not a single day they don't feel pain. A lot of those reasons tend to be because of chronic pain, whether it's the knee, the ankle, the shoulder, the back, etc. It's not uncommon and as long as it's managed properly tit should be alright. But I guess that is where the worry is rooted. Does Yuzu have the right team to manage his physiotherapy properly?

January 2, 20224 yr (sorry if already posted). Yuzuru faffing about lots before it's his turn in the SP lol!! One must have to be so patient and able to keep calm to be a competitor in this sport! I don't think I could be doing with all the hanging around, warming up, changing to costume, skates on for 6 mins warm up, skates off as you're skating last, shoes on, more warm up stuff, skates back on again etc etc.... It's interesting to see Yuzuru doing other stuff; his skating shows such precision, perfection, and control...yet when he is doing other stuff it just doesn't look the same at all!! He pulls stuff out of his bag sending other bits flying, and he cant find anything in that blasted bag, I want to grab it and tip it up onto the floor for him just so he can find what he's looking for!! ahhh I love him... Oh he looks so good in his costume too, I can't imagine how others keep their eyes off him, he demands that you look at him somehow... Someone so famous too, you'd imagine he might have his own dressing room, like a popstar, or famous actor, prior to going on stage. But no, no such luxury in a performing arts sport, there he is hanging around in corridors like everyone else. (edit - I know he wouldn't want it any other way!)

I have seen other people sharing this close up view and the OP also tweeted that separately. It does look like he did doze off for that 1 sec but I figured he's too tired and may just lost balance for a second when his body went into relax mode. We all know he had tons of interviews after that but hope he had a good rest over the New Year holidays.

But it doesn't matter. He did a phenomenal job that day and really gave it his all. I have nothing but admiration for him (and his madness) and same as you, I hope he got a good rest. The battle ahead is going to be yet another mountain to climb.
