October 23, 20215 yr Nobody look at the PCs... the judges tried so hard to lift Nathan up, he should have scored in the 70s

October 23, 20215 yr In Shoma's interview after the SP, he mentioned that he watched Kevin's program just before his turn and was moved by how much the audience supported and applauded him during this difficult performance. It reminded him of his disastrous performance in France (IDF) when he recalled being uplifted by the audience who called out to him and cheered him on... As @rockstaryuzu mentioned above, Shoma is maturing before our eyes and showing his compassionate side more openly.

At Nationals he messed it up in the free, in Stockholm he had a fall in the short and at WTT he didn't attempt the jump at all. Looks like the big quads start to take their toll on his body, too. I'm really curious about the free now. Nathan needs to close a 15 point gap to win this. If Vince can skate anywhere near the quality from Nebelhorn, it will be quite a challenge, even with scoring candies.
October 23, 20215 yr Nathan’s PCS alone shows how it is easy to abuse scoring to push certain skaters ahead of others. That was such an empty program. He will probably show his 6 quads layout for free. Anyway, to me, Jimmy was the star of the night. I just hope Shun is okay, it was heartbreaking to watch.

October 23, 20215 yr Did anyone else notice how Nathan seemed to look at the audience when they announced his name to skate? He seemed a bit distracted by the audience. Usually skaters look really in the zone when their names are announced.
