xeyra
I honestly think Dory would have looked fine with either a less vivid blue or a less yellow 'cape' (or both). But I guess they wanted to go for the more anime like coloring. Link to comment

I liked the blue, didn't like the yellow! If it were blue-white, I think it would look way prettier. (Or without the white part at all. Gosh Yuzu, why do you like flashy floating pieces of clothing so much...) Link to comment

There's this high-end cleaners in the same building where I used to work where people (usually affluent ones) send their more delicate and pricey stuff, like gowns and costumes and what-not. If you can afford them, they are even better than handwashing, because even handwashing can ruin the especially delicate stuff sometimes. I've see a dress with more bling than probably all of Hanyu's costumes combined on the shop's display. It certainly made me think that whoever owns it probably enjoys walking around looking like a disco ball and feeling like they are fighting against gravity all night in banquets. These cleaners will also deliver your stuff to wherever you want it delivered. It's probably too much of a luxury and impracticality when you're repeatedly wearing something quite frequently but if it's a one-off and you need it done fast, these services are your answer because even pricey as they are, they're also the most practical solution for situations such as this one. In the land of kimonos, I'm certain there are no shortage of specialist launderers who handle delicate and expensive materials as a trade. But all the ideas being thrown about are much more fun so carry on. Maybe it's different now, but in the 2015 Asaichi interview, he did say his costumes had to be hand washed, and that if he had back to back performances he would just hang them out to dry out the sweat. He never specified who actually did the hand washing, but it's probably his mum Link to comment

Then give the better costume back to Yuzu and within a day the bling and frill will be back. Our hearts belong to a man with a truly unique vision, and the next vision is only days away.... Yuzu has also cited Johnny Weir as an inspiration, and obviously not just with his skating abilities. Link to comment

At least we got to see various Requiems, while Believe is like a gust of wind. How can something so beautiful last so short Literally not one day passes by that i haven't rewatched Yuzu's Believe. I kid you not. I love everything about it. From the costume, to the tiniest nuance of his performance. And yes, including Che'Nelle's live-singing. I even sing it in The Voice app, but i don't post it. 3 hours ago, Sombreuil said: I am a firm supporter of R&J2 - I love all of it, the sleeve details, the waist, the jewelled edges, - I don't even dislike the boobskirt. I do dislike Dory because it doesn't look as though anyone thought it out properly - the yellow bit looks like an afterthought and reminds me of an old aunt when I was a very small child who used to use a yellow chiffon scarf in the slightest breeze to protect her helmet hairdo, the mix of colours is meh, the drapery across the back looks terrible in action on certain elements of the skating ..... just no. 3 hours ago, Murieleirum said: I liked the blue, didn't like the yellow! The yellow was what really burned my eyes, but i eventually got used to it. My brain now automatically filters out the yellow. And i love the boobskirt! I didn't even have to "get used to it". Cerunias
I was watching this (that someone linked earlier): ...and I couldn't help but laugh when the comment was made that Hanyu looked like he was serious even in rehearsal - next moment, he falls onto his back on a spin entry, starts laughing, and then starts waving his limbs around whilst he's flat on his back on the ice, like a starfish floundering without water... And then when asked how many times he'd been to Kanazawa, he had to check with someone off-stage...I wonder who that would've been? Link to comment
