Hanyu maintains his clean jumps, uses the blade correctly, and on top of that technique, he can achieve amazing artistic expression.

I don't think hanyu's ability has deteriorated in recent years. On the other hand, he become powerful and in the OP (Seimei) at the Olympics, his footwork has become more and more fluid.

Yuzuru Hanyu is incredible!!!

This thread is for everything and all things Yuzuru Hanyu! Please keep things at least tangentially related to Yuzuru.

If you would like to talk about other skaters, feel free to do so in Igloo World.

Posts about general skating or multiple skaters go into Knickknacks.

And anything else goes in Space Junk

Feel free to start new threads any time. Thank you for keeping our planet organized :thanks:

How lucky I found this website in the end! There is so much information about Yuzu

I love a man who appreciates his mum  :softYuzu:

I'm afraid that this is a mistranslation. He did not say, "the sweetest child for the gentlest, and yet strongest mom."

In response to being asked about his relationship with his mother, Yuzu started by saying that being "oya-ko" (parent and child), of course they often fight and of course at other times he receives encouragement from her; but, most importantly, his mother, more than anyone else, worries about him the most because as she always says, he is a part of her body. This is something she always says to him. (This is where the interviewer gasped and repeated, "She says that you are a part of her body.") Yuzu continued, "Yes, because I came from her stomach... This always affects me deeply."

This is how close Yuzu and his mother are and how much they feel and care for each other.

This is not directly Yuzu related, but consider to support this

As we are approaching to 3/11 anniversary, I think I read somewhere that Yahoo is once again doing their yearly campaign where they donate 10 (?) yen for every 3.11. search done in that day (Japan time) to reconstruction work. So keep that in mind too. It is an easy way to do something good and meaningful.

I don't think it was a translation as such, but rather a comment on their relationship?

Hi everyone! New here on Planet Hanyu!  Because I miss Yuzu, I’ve been going through my saved videos, gifs, photos and other content. I came across this photo. Can someone remind me where this gif is from and if there’s a video still available on YT or here on PH? I just know it’s from Tcc media days but can’t remember which year

Yuzu making faces at Brian 😂

Welcome to the Planet @Coachpooh .. and of course also to all other new members

According to this site the gif is from 2016
